Hello Eagles fans!

The embedded resources below are kept up to date by the trade board mods (as much as possible – we are human after all). Enjoy!

We do have an up and coming key defender on the list already. Big bad bustling Bazzo.

He looks alright in he's first year. Will be a good player once he builds muscle and strength. Don't think trading pick 1 to split for Curtin is that important just yet. It's our midfield that's horrible and need urgent attention.

Take Reid and next season get some more quality mids should be the plan.

Now that player trades have closed, there’s no deal that would realistically be offered that I’m prepared to accept for Reid but it is worth exploring getting up the draft order this year. The simple trade I’d do is with Gold Coast (probably has to be on draft night):

OUT: 37, 58
IN: 32
Leaving us with 1, 23, 32
With 2024 delistings in mind, with drafting this year my priorities are:
  1. contested ball
  2. speed
  3. sure up KPD stocks
The specific players I’d like to bring in to address these issues are Reid, Curtin (O’Sullivan if unavailable), Schoenmaker, Windsor, DeMattia and ZZ. I’m happy to slide back in the 2024 draft order provided we keep a selection in the 1st and preferably 2nd round. With that in mind and given how much picks will slide, I’d do ONE of these trades in order of preference (the first being my very clear standout), with late round pick swaps added if needed:

TRADE 1 (ADELAIDE)
WCE OUT: 23, F1,
WCE IN: 10, 14, 20, F1

1-Reid
10-Windsor
14-DeMattia
20-Schoenmaker
32-ZZ

2024 DRAFT HAND R1 (ADEL), R2, R3, R4

TRADE 2 (MELB&GWS)
GWS
WCE OUT: 23, F2
WCE IN: 16, F2 (GWS)

MELB
WCE OUT: F1, F2 (GWS)
WCE IN: 6, 11, F1

1-Reid
6-Curtin
11-Windsor
16-DeMattia
32-ZZ

2024 DRAFT HAND R1 (MELB), R3, R4

TRADE 3 (GWS&ADELAIDE)
GWS
WCE IN: 7, 16, F1
WCE OUT: F1

ADELAIDE
WCE IN: 10
WCE OUT 23, F2

1-Reid
7-Curtin
10-Windsor
16-DeMattia
32-ZZ

2024 DRAFT HAND R1 (GWS), R3, R4

2024 TEAM
B: Burgiel Barrass Duggan
HB: Yeo McGovern Hough
C: Hunt Kelly Windsor
HF: Cripps Darling Reid
F: Ryan Allen Long
F: BWilliams, Ginbey, Hewett
I/C: Flynn, Chesser, Maric, Curtin
Sub: DeMattia

2024 FA/Draft:

*Logan McDonald or other KPF (22yo or under)
*If we are confident of getting Busslinger over from WB, I’d consider using the ZZ pick on Freijah/Moir/Collard instead

Delist/Trade 2024
Rotham, LEdwards, HEdwards, Jamieson, Gaff, Witherden, (Trew)

Friends wedding in Perth ..

He was holding a suit bag

But let us dream, Slyce to come back as captain for the Beagles next season

So that ends the player trade period. Lots of picks and players changed.

Not a single Eagles player was traded out.

Is that a positive or negative KPI? Im not sure.:(

The Bulldogs ITK who they worship on their board said there was going to be a flurry of outs for the Eagles this year.

You'd think they would learn after he said Barrass was going to them last year.

Hawks been active.

Massimo D'Ambrosio, Chol, Gunston and Ginnivan all in.

I'd call that 2 x vanillas, 1 x old and cooked and 1 x absolute campaigner.
They might turn Massimo into something.

At the very least it's a great indication a glut of name players who have done sweet f all since 2018 don't see themselves in a beagles jumper in 2024.

really having a good giggle over on the norf board. apparently we hate reid now. it's all a ruse to get mckercher and pick 20 or something. it's interesting how they keep saying out second pick is only 27 or 30 yet they never seem to factor in bids into their own picks 15 (19-20?), 17 (22-23?) and 18 (23-25?).

Given our last two seasons, I would take that as a positive

Correct me if I’m wrong but Curtin and Zz are KPD? Curtin is now 197cm and he played well the few times he played as a key back. Zz a kpd and can Pinch hit in the ruck. How many KPD do you want in the draft…..

We brought in Flynn as a ruck and if the club is eyeing off English I see no need for another ruck currently.

As for Harley I like him as much as anyone and have watched nearly all of his games over the last 18 months but he’s not a miracle worker.

If Nth offer something such as 2 & 3 we should take it and split 3 again if possible and get our rebuild in full steam.
Forget Curtin’s height, I’m not seeing kpd

ROB mentioning that he thinks the draft is very "even after the first part" would suggest he wouldn't have much interest in late teens/early 20s picks in my opinion.

I reckon it would have to be 2 and another in whatever he deems as "the first part" or don't bother.

yeah look at all the clubs trading out of the 20s or this draft entirely. i think in ROB-speak "even" means 'shit'.
