Hello Eagles fans!

The embedded resources below are kept up to date by the trade board mods (as much as possible – we are human after all). Enjoy!

Keys you may like to sticky this post & move it to the start of the thread (so the sticky post doesn't rotate if a post is deleted before it), or copy it to your draft thread if you have one.

Apples & oranges IMO, not worth comparing
They are in the context of "we need yet another key defender to replace barrass and mcgovern" when we are running wings of Gaff and Hunt. Pretty obvious which two will be around for longer at a higher level.

Thank god there's only a couple more days of the media bulls**t and posturing over who goes where, and when. The last two months have been rehash after rehash of possible and probable draft outcomes to the point of being boring. The pessimism over where we are likely to finish next year is understandable, but if we no longer have half the team on life support and go into 2024 with something like a full list available, we are more than capable of a significant improvement on 2023/2022.

Bazzo, Hough, J Williams Chesser are looking like men and not skinny kids and are into their third season. Ginbey, Hewitt and Long are way ahead of what anyone expected 12 months after being drafted. Dewar and Baker are interesting, could be a surprise package waiting to be unwrapped here. Then there's Flynn, Brockman and Barnett (who's filling out nicely). I'm tipping Harry Edwards as the big improver given his attitude and love of the contest. Chuck in Reid and further development of L Edwards, Petch, Jamieson and B Williams and it should be an interesting season watching all these young guys further their development. Hopefully our older guys are over their injury horrors and are available most weeks to steady the ship. A fit Allen, Ryan, McGovern, Yeo, Kelly, Hunt, Barrass, Duggan, Sheed and Cripps balances our age demographic nicely, so bring on 2024.

The funny thing is Sheed isn't even in a better position

Just realised we have Port round 1 next year.

Cornes already loading up on Harley making the mistake of his life being drafted by West Coast if we lose that one.
We have a good record at AO. Imagine a win with Reid kicking a goal after the siren and a full time cross to Cornhole. Garry Lyon vibes. Speaking of which, would be great to get a shot of him when we call out Reid at #1.

ZZ will probably go before our third pick and prefer Gothard over him. Decent chance Gothard is gone by 28 anyway.
It's all good. This was a subtle joke anyway. It feels like a massive crapshoot beyond about pick 15.

Well someone didn't do anatomy at school did they!
I'm a little worried about CountryLad's flat testicles. He should get that checked out.

Edit. Tag fail 🤦‍♂️

Not sure of the context of these tweets, but key defenders take longer to develop, so all things being equal, need to pick them up earlier than wingers if you're looking to replace positions in the near future.
