Hey guys, I am heading over from Melbourne to watch the game on Thursday night with a mate.
We’re staying until Saturday night when we fly out.
We love a parmi, and would love to savour the best that Adelaide has to offer (probably within proximity of the CBD if possible).
Any other ideas to fill some time would be great too. We’ve got the Adelaide Oval roof climb booked in but apart from that and the game a lot of free time!

Cheers!
Try The Cumby in Waymouth St

Don't forget, we also had Worrell and Milera in the back half .....Milera offering the rebound and elite kicking off HB ....that no player has stepped up to replace him

Look at the damage Jordan Clark is doing for FREO today .....sets all the rebound & attacking moves

So from last year's DEF ....Murray, Doedee, Worrell, Milera out .....and the demise of Smith ....that's 5 of the back 7 missing

And Thilthorpe, Pedlar, Rankine missing from the forward line - with Tex having multiple games impacted by his back

What tripe !!

Rachele came in with a swagger, that coincided with ego building draft year hype .....go watch his U18 highlights, if you call them that

Given we have NO IDEA how to build confidence & develop players ....how do you explain:

Michalanney .....2nd year, going from strength to strength
Nankervis .....see above
N.Murray ......has he regressed since joining the Club ?
Soligo .....gone backwards, or growing game by game ?

It's apparently the go to blame the Club and Coaches for everything .....but you know what, most of the time it's on the player himself

Rachele, is supposed to have power & speed .....yet, currently he's not busting tackles, not using his speed ....devoid of confidence, yes .....he has to work harder ....not get patted on the head, and continue to have smoke blown up his ******** ......our injuries "may" be his saviour in not getting dropped next week

Geesus ....and you want to play him midfield ....that was tried yesterday, and he was a lazy failure ....brought back memories of Newchurch

There's a particular type we are bad at, ego driven and confidence.

Oh ....you mean players like Rankine

Dew was planning to transition Rankine into the midfield the year he requested the trade but he was injured for the first half of the year so they weren't able to.
It also took our terrible start for the coaches to give him midfield time this year. Had to drag them kicking and screaming though.

The Brompton does an awesome schnitter.

Only after an absolutely insipid start by us forced us to alter our plan after half time
Rankine started there at first bounce and played as a midfielder for the rest of the game. There was always a plan to transition Rankine into the midfield like we did with Rachele at the start of last year but somehow we didn't see Rankine there after round 1 and he only played midfield again against Carlton. Same with Rachele after last year, didn't see him there at all and even when Nicks said he would play midfield last week with the injury to Rankine, he only attended CBA and didn't play midfield for the rest of the game.

But sure if call this playing in the midfield against GC.

Actually, Rankine attended 7 centre bounces for the entire game, and 3, 5 and 6 over the following three rounds.

At 0-4, we suddenly boosted this to 20 CBAs and hey presto we started playing better.

Plan A was for Rankine to play predominantly up forward. Embarrassing losses forced our hand.

Hopefully Saturday's utter humiliation causes a similar re-think to how we select and structure our team.

You are determining players attending CBA as they "played" midfield. Rankine played midfield against GCS as evident by his heat map. How many CBA did Rachele attend last week and then correlate this to his heat map and you can clearly see he didn't play midfield unlike Rankine in round 1 but somehow Nicks didn't play him there again until round 5.

And how many CBA did Rachele attend last week? So does CBA numbers equate to "playing" midfield.
Yes, that's exactly, specifically what it means.

A player isn't restricted to a patch of the field. Rachele can move from half forward up the ground. It doesn't mean he's "playing midfield"

Same as ROB didn't have a stint in defence on Saturday

So Rachele attend 50% of the CBA and then move forward right away and stay there for the rest of the game and you consider that "playing" midfield?

Yes

All that means is that he didn't get the ball the 50% of the time when he was playing midfield. Probably why his CBA number dropped to 2 the following week
