Re: Essendon vs West Coast (12/5) Was also a 1.10 start which often draws a lower crowd. The 36k+ yesterday against Brisbane was a fantastic crowd. I really can't wait until Saturday night and its still ages away! Hope we can put in another good 4 quarter effort as we did yesterday.

we had some good patches of momentum but lost our way a bit in that second quarter. liked our resilience to fight back from almost 6 goals down. and the way we started the last was exhilarating. haven't been this excited for the beginning of a season in a few years! can't wait

He does have quite an awkward kicking style. I mean we can compare it to Fevola obviously they are totally different players. For such a high pick it is a bit of a worry? I mean its probably easier to teach good kicking then strong contested marking. He took some good marks tonight though =)

Re: List Cloggers I think its unrealistic to expect Monfries to kick 40 goals. He'll be lucky to get 20 with the quality of ball he is currently getting.

Good on the pies, they just pummeled us where it counted like teams have been doing of late. That whole stream of goals kicked against us came in a huge flurry, this time in the 1st quarter, which was imo, the worst quarter essendon has played in a long long time. No toast though =[

Is Michael Hurley a forward or a backman? It seems that when we are getting beat we continue to switch players between positions when in retrospect switching the whole team out of their comfort zone doesn't do much to ease the score board pain. When he went back in defense he gave up 2 quick...

I don't think dropping Ryder's versatility for Laycock is the answer to this. I thought we were about developing our young players.
