Trac poor in loses, good in wins.
Smith relatively consistent in either (scored well in loses and wins).
Leaning Smith here only because I think Hawks will beat Dees.
I agree you can't really go wrong. Earlier in the year I went Parker over Hanners purely to save $$ and I do wish I went the other way. I'm thinking Priddis will end up averaging close to 110ish, probably a shade under. At $500k with his potential and history It's hard to pass up. Though I don't...
So it's DBJ vs McCarthy? I think DBJ is likely to give you a solid 65-85, ball should be in the Port back line a fair bit. Though McCarthy could do < 65 and > 85, so is the more risk/reward.
I'd personally go DBJ as I think he's more likely to give you a solid but not spectacular score.
Who to have on field between Mills & Hewett? (Technically I'm going to loophole 1 of these guys, if they under-perform/get injured I'll put Menadue on field).
Mills vs Hewett?
I'm thinking of backing in my team and PODs, I've had a good year and if my team isn't good enough today we'll I'll cop that on the chin.
Going to go Hodge to Houli (thinking he's in for a good one, whilst the doggies will struggle).
Then Murphy to Mundy probs.
Have to trade Hodge, thinking either Houli or Picken.
Opponent has Houli, Murphy - I could trade to one of these to negate POD, or go Picken or a J. Gibson type to outscore him.
Similarly have Murphy to trade - I could match one of his mids like Priddis to negate POD, or go a Mundy/Sloane to...
I'm leaning Danger, last 3 round ave 127, last 5 round 128. Comming off a 157, 152. If you have the better overall team, I'd go Danger to negate any points your opponent can make up.
If you looking like your going to lose, your best bet may be to take the 129, and hope to god that Danger only...
I'm most likely going to do the same. Any concerns of Rocky? Did you consider Lewis?
My plan was Sloane to Gaz, but I'm thinking of being aggressive and going Sloane to Rocky, then one of Cripps/Swallow/Griffen to Gaz.
It's think it's easier to pump in a lot of young talent and look promising. The challenge is being genuinely competitive against the top tier of the comp, and becoming one of those top 4 teams. Port Adelaide demonstrate just how hard it is to continue to improve.
Going to downgrade Mitch Clark this week, what are people's thoughts on downgrading to a non-playing player? I could go a bargain basement 100k rookie, or a Hugh Goddard type at 120k, it's 20k difference and someone who may play vs someone who definitely won't. thoughts?
McIntosh to Hodge
Cam Ellis-Yolmen to Sloane
Tarrant to Lambert
Normally wait to the weekend or just before the games to do these though. I'll have to do the Hodge and Lambert trades tomorrow night anyways as they involve Richmond players.
I'm going to persist with Cripps for M8 too I think, kept him this long. Prior to this round his age was about 85 if you take the 170 against the saints out. With Judd gone, and a new coach wanting to prove somethin Cripps has as good a shot as anyone in Carltons midfield to ave close to 100+
Gray might be a game changer for some this week, plenty would've had the VC or sadly even C. Up to Beams, Goldy, etc to step up now! hope Gray doesn't have any neck damage and its 'just' a concussion.
Any thoughts on who I am best to downgrade to Steele? Its McKenzie vs Cockatoo.
Trading McKenzie nets be $34,600 more than Cockatoo, though I'll lose a DPP from MID/DEF in my mids. This DPP isn't a biggie as I only have Saad in my backline that can swing to mid, Hodge could be a future option...
Thoughts on Dumont vs Boston? Can Dumont hold is spot on the side? Nths injury list isn't too bad, but Wells,Dal to come back, with McDonald emergency. Boston I think will be a casualty once a few Suns guys start returning.
I'm thinking of holding off on trades. If I do trade, it will be a maximum of 1.
It's trading out Goodes vs Salem. Goodes is injured and set to miss many games which isn't helpful in the BYEs, whilst Salem could return for round 11 and be a warm body.
Problem is that there ain't many downgrade...
Hogan vs Salem vs TBC for my last forward spot?
Don't like Bellchambers against Sandi/Freo, but Salem/Hogan aren't really better propositions. Thoughts?
