    Rules Holding the ball

Why was there such a knee-jerk reaction. They only had to start paying the obvious holding the balls. They've swung it way too far the other way. They shouldn't change rules that alter the game so much. Ridiculous.

Strategy What to do with pick 1 now we’ve got it - Do We Need Reid or is it Curtins

You realise clubs will have different trade hands come draft day, why would I make a wild guess, left it open ended at "getting overs" 🤨

Strategy What to do with pick 1 now we’ve got it - Do We Need Reid or is it Curtins

Talk about going overboard, loser mentality? what are you going on about?. We finished the year with a percentage of 50, our list is trash, only a few decent youngsters. I'd rather get 2 really good players compared to 1 gun, also Reid isn't guaranteed to be anything. If a club is after pick 1...

Strategy What to do with pick 1 now we’ve got it - Do We Need Reid or is it Curtins

Definitely trade out pick 1 for a top 4/5 and 10ish pick if offered. We'll be better for it in the long run, we're so short on quality youngsters. It was only 9 months ago people were talking Chesser up as the second coming, picks aren't guaranteed.

List Mgmt. Contract, Trade & Draftee Discussion - 2022 Off Season Edition

Why are people getting offended over opinions, I'm just going to wait and see how the draftees develop and enjoy the journey. Predictions on first year players never come true, impossible to know whether we nailed the draft or not, what the synergy of the team will be like etc. Ginbey could get...

The mod posts about nicknames, 10/10 comedy. Also should probably wait until these kids play before saying that we killed the draft, happens every year, the reality is that not all of them will come on.

I think North did alright. JHF showed that he's a mental pygmy, wouldn't want the guy at my club.

Sydney themselves want to trade up, they won't do that pick swap

List Mgmt. Contract, Trade & Draftee Discussion - 2022 Off Season Edition

Agree with the last few posts, the deal looked alright. We're only sliding 6 picks in a draft where the top 10 is even, we're not going to get more than what we were offered.

No way we are getting 8, 12 and 15, for pick 2 and Rioli. Think we'd be lucky to get 19 instead of 15, probably have to give a later pick back aswell.

Definitely think splitting pick 2 will serve us better in the long term, especially if there's not much difference between pick 3 and 10

He made all Australian 20/21. If he gets fit, he'll contribute for 2 years.

Traded Luke Jackson [Traded with #44 and #67 to Fremantle for #13, F1 and F2]

Clubs would trade for Darling, guy only just turned 30 and will kick 35-40 goals a year. Also I wouldn't straight swap Allen for Jackson either. Do you even watch West coast?

Autopsy AFL 2022 Second Semi Final - Demons v Lions Fri Sept 9th 7:50pm EST (MCG)

    1. He held on to the ball for way too long 2. The umpire asked to give the ball back multiple times 3. What are you on about?

Traded Junior Rioli (West Coast) - [to Port Adelaide in multi-club trade]

He runs through the midfield occasionally, so you can't go on goal averages etc

Traded Junior Rioli (West Coast) - [to Port Adelaide in multi-club trade]

When fit he's a top 5-10 player for us. Our best i50 kick. There's no point losing him for peanuts, hence why most West coast fans want to hold onto him.

Traded Junior Rioli (West Coast) - [to Port Adelaide in multi-club trade]

We probably paid him for 2 years while he wasn't playing footy due to failing a drug test, looked after his welfare etc. I don't think many players would leave under the same circumstances.

Traded Junior Rioli (West Coast) - [to Port Adelaide in multi-club trade]

Dogged West coast hard, don't want people like that at the club

Rules Score Review (ARC) Thread - Lions v Tigers Elimination

I think the right call was made even if by the rules there wasn't definitive evidence to overturn the umpires decision. The umpire obviously made a split decision call that was wrong, he wasn't even in position to see it.
