It's legitimately bewildering how much power the coaches have over the AFL when basically every rule change is introduced to combat the coaches' tactics of slowing down the game.
That was his debut last year against Essendon. He played as a third tall beside Brown and Waite who both combined for 10-goals. He just couldn't get his hands on the ball and even copped a falcon. Fox spent the whole last quarter discussing it because I'm pretty sure Mooney was on the boundary...
Did anyone hear on SEN, I think it was sometime last week that another player has told his club he's leaving for GWS. I can't remember who it was, all i remember was thinking he wasn't that good. Anyone know?
Re: 85+ season ending injuries
Can collision injuries be attributed to sub rule? A lot of collision injuries this year, I guess they aimed to slow the game down, which hasn't happened
My idea would be to play every team once and then split the teams into 3 groups of 6 based on where they finished last season and those 5 teams would be the ones a team plays twice. E.g. Geelong would play Collingwood, Hawthorn, West Coast, Carlton and St.Kilda twice. Now obviously you might get...
One word - Foxtel that twilight games is all for the tv networks. I think they need to have one every single round
Collingwood will play their QF on the Sunday, the AFL always give the top team maximum break for their first final, which is fair enough they deserve the reward and all the...
Spoke absolute sense. Lloyd's still whinging about having to change his position, the only player who refused to adapt to the modern game, where you need to play more than ONE position. Knights has built this list, he drafted well and I honestly believe they had one of the worst lists during his...
Lighten up it was a beauty, still reckon Farmer's was better in 1998 against Richmond and I always liked Tarrants in 2001 that clearly should have been MOTY much better than Moorcroft's
I see where your coming from, but as a Geelong supporter, the worse thing about last year for me was not knowing and the way it dragged on both Ablett and Thompson. I would have prefered them both to come out as soon as they had signed with other clubs and told everyone
The thing I don't get is the story on the backpage of the Sum about Scully leaving because of disagreements with the administration, possibly even the fact that they forced James McDonald to retire. He's probably already gone to GWS and when the annoucement takes places he use all these stories...
