Our midfield opponents were smallish, chunky, and fast, had a good game plan, and were all on the same page. Absolutely nothing was due to being unable to outbody bigger opponents. We excelled at tapping to the oppo, fumbling, bumbling, going HTB, and being on completely different volumes.I get you but we also am not entirely sure what the overall game plan is and whether they are lining up like that for a reason. I doubt it would be just stand behind your opponents because we are told too. Match simulations happen at practise. So I don't think its that simple as poor instruction. It could be as simple as players unable to out body their bigger midfield opponents. Which again perhaps leads to a poor selection and development philosophy if we are willing to accept and reward mediocrity under the guise we will get better.
