Either one - but GC need points this year so our 1st would this year would be a better fish to dangle as they could split it for points..OR they could try to package up their picks to get in at the very top of the draft before a bid comes in on their academy kids
If we rate Sanders we should be trying to trade into a higher spot in this years draft including putting our 2024 1st up for grabs ( we might want to check the afls intention with father / son rules however )

So yeah we should look at GCs 2023 1st

I just don't get paying big draft capital for a "potential" big bodied midfielder when the player in question (Elijah Hollands) has played very limited midfield during the NAB League/Nationals playing mostly half forward with only limited squirts thru the midfield. He did have one decent game at the Nationals where he played more midfield but he has to still be in the "potential" midfielder category 3years into an AFL career.

Not much different in his time in the NEAFL/VFL at the GCS's though this year he's even played half back/wing at times in the VFL.

I know the plan with Murray Bushies was to play Elijah midfield in his top age year but that never happened going down with his ACL at the VC preseason camp that year.

It really is a mystery what's going on there but apart from a couple of games he seems to struggle to finding the pill in a pretty powerful GCS VFL side?

Something isn’t right

Tim Kelly is just wishful thinking FFS, he went home so their 2 autistic young sons could be closer to family to assist his wife with their care. Geelong offered to pony up for carers to assist his wife etc but that's not the same as family.

Ridiculous to suggest he'd even be interested because it's pretty clear he puts family before football.. rightly so.
I find that hard to believe when Freo came to the party the year prior, Geelong had an agreement and Kelly vetoed it.

Just sounds like a convenient excuse to me.

Can we keep it real folks.

I think you're 100% wrong on that call but you're entitled to your opinion.

[busted] Redman Prioritised over Doedee
I heard 2 bits of info from different people yesterday regarding Redman, both of these people would have some inside knowledge of what’s going on.

1. The club has not prioritised a contract for Doedee as we are throwing everything we can at getting Redman and they believe Doedee has a deal lined up with another club anyway.

2. The deal with Redman is pretty much done and over the line, source was very confident he’ll be a crow next year.
