My favorite player we have ever had to watch was D Jarman..he could split the head of a pin with his kicking and he was so laconic...but also when forward in that GF - he was devastating.

There is an interview of his a long while back about that GF where he saw Jamie Shanahan head to fullback and he thought it was like Christmas had come early as he knew Shanahan didn't have the guile or craft to stop him.

I do remember a quote from John Reid when he coached South that playing against North was unfair as they had 2 Jarmans

If you said which players were total clutch players - Rehn is right up there. D Jarman is the most skilled footballer we have ever had bar none - his field kicking is still peerless although Tex might be on the of closest to him

The South Australian says it was an easy decision to stay having made Perth his new home.
