I liked his last year. You could pretty much guarantee he'd pull out a drop kick at some stage in most games
Bob Shearman had the nicest dropkick and used it often.
Not sure why it isn't used anymore, you could get huge distance with a droppy. They say it's unreliable, but the good kickers then used it well so the good kickers today would be the same. Maybe not Keays though

My favorite player we have ever had to watch was D Jarman..he could split the head of a pin with his kicking and he was so laconic...but also when forward in that GF - he was devastating.

There is an interview of his a long while back about that GF where he saw Jamie Shanahan head to fullback and he thought it was like Christmas had come early as he knew Shanahan didn't have the guile or craft to stop him.

Enjoy the great man at work

Jarman being Jarman was enough of an advantage, but jeez things just bounced his way that day.

Robran's punch by chance lands in his lap. The contest where he's the only one to stay down spills over the back in his lap. The magic ball later on he's caught out of position and somehow just bounces up into his lap.

You have those days where things just always seem to bounce against you. I reckon the Saints might feel like that was one of those days.

Murray and Butts have long term injuries and MM currently plays on smalls and Worrell has played 10 games. Burgess is currently playing as a forward for the GC reserves so I’m not banking on our salvation there.
There is a good reason why Cox just signed a lucrative 6 year deal btw, we were obviously right into him. Port don’t have the collateral so something made them make such a huge offer a year out from free agency and it has to be us.

unfortunately it is a fail for the club. Let’s hope We can do better with Chol and/or Hayward/Sparrow/Petty.
Butts long term injury? He'll be back for the start of preseason.

Murray back mid year, Keane a first 22 player, Worrell able to play tall.

We probably add some break-glass swingman depth (like Burgess) plus hopefully draft a tall as well.

It's perfectly, completely fine. There's three or four things that are a bigger priority than a key defender.

Yeah, that's the last thing Keays should be trying. I mean how much would you lose it at the TV screen because you know he'd pull that out with 30 seconds left kicking into F50 with us 4 points down :)

Poor old Bearded Clam would be up for a new TV each week.

As a young fella I watched him play so many games and I used to think he could slow down time - amazing player.
Bagshaw is my Dad's favourite player.

Since when has Butts had a long term injury?..

Club has said he will be ready for the preseason and be right for round 1 next year..
Yeah, Butts, Keane & Worrell should give us enough defensive cover til Murray returns later in the season.

Smart went ok too. People forget how good he was because he was a weird cat after he stopped playing.
Made our neighbours so salty with just one photo of him in a suit. :$

His son took a hanger on my head during kick to kick at lunchtime in year 11

Who's got access for Himmelberg info?

Lachie Keeffe is the only unsigned player to take the field in the Collingwood-GWS preliminary final and his hopes of a new deal might rest on whether Adelaide will let go of Elliott Himmelberg.

The Giants have loved being able to pick a jack-of-all-trades like 33-year-old Keeffe in their side.

But the Giants are waiting on an answer over whether the Crows will release 25-year-old Himmelberg to play a similar role given Adelaide is on the lookout for key position reinforcements.

If he stays at Adelaide he is a free agent next year so could reunite with his brother Harry at GWS, but it might allow Keeffe another season.

He looked like he was on a 5 minute reaction time delay compared to the rest of their team the other night.
