I wonder if we're missing a trick here as England were moving the ball around off the pitch quite a lot yesterday and today... just because the pitch has dried a little from the sunshine shouldn't prevent it from moving around at least a bit; but we're just getting bugger all movement off the pitch... hmmm

I’m not normally a massive advocate for this, but a few wide short ones to duckett just to see if he bites might be worth a shot.

that doesn't bother me - they can't all look like Pup lol

Pup might have been a catch back in his Lara Bingle days, he is just another overweight white trash bogan these days fighting with Karl Stefanovic.

Oh it could absolutely swing back. Australia is good enough and they are certainly reckless enough. But the game should not have got to this point, regardless of what follows. Been utterly stupid stuff from Australia. Needlessly let them back in the game.
Yep. People are complaining about the Head critiquing but the frustration came because his demolition of England was a controlled, convincing one. Not a flukey throw the bat and hope a couple of slogs connect innings. So I loved his mindset and you could barely criticise a shot before that, but then he leaned into it way too hard and offered a needless way for England to get back in.

Regardless, great innings so you call it a win and move on.

What followed wasn't really acceptable. If we were chasing 540 on this pitch I think there would have been some more respectable knocks/partnerships after the Head wicket. It ended up being 6 or 7 for 110 when conditions were mostly better? A massive waste to take an England win off the cards. So it is frustrating and I don't think it's over the top to express that.

That reminds me of when Jayasuriya was carting England through and over the off side and England put out a deep backward point.
Botham slated the move as setting a field for a short, wide long-hop and lo and behold Harmison bowled his usual half-tracker and Jayasuriya hit it straight down the fielder's throat.

So other than “you think they’re better” with nothing other than “the vibe” to back you up?

I’m not sure “Boland would dominate” to paraphrase you, but I think he should’ve been selected. I think he’s suited to Lords for the reasons I’ve given in previous posts.

Using “ I have an opinion that’s different” as a reason for an argument is beneath you. Anyone can have an opinion, Ollie Robinson has opinions.

Also, get the saying right, it’s a bex and a lie down.
Lol

Go and annoy your missus champ.

Yeah, what I’m thinking. He doesn’t leave the ball, so the odd tempter with a well placed catcher? Maybe.

You can see the influence of Vettori on Lyon in terms of how to bowl when there's nothing in the surface and varying everything else such as pace, trajectory and length and trying to outthink the batsman.

And there it is
