I said in the preview thread would love to be proven wrong about Ronke but sadly think we will get a 0.2, 8 touch, 1 tackle game.....

0.0, 5 touches, 0 tackles.

He was specifically brought in to provide pressure hard to imagine the ability to kick 7 goals in a game then end up not being on a AFL list few years later.

Obviously Ronke struggled and I imagine will be first out of the 22 next week, but it seemed like a curious selection to begin with.

He hasn't been tearing up the reserves and it's not as if we didn't have his position covered.

I mentioned in the preview that we had 4 notional small forwards in Bell, Papley, Ronke & Wicks (and you could add Gulden if you wished), plus a good mix of mids/talls in the fwd line.
I could see no purpose in bringing in Ronke unless Bell or Wicks went back to cover a Freo small fwd.
That obviously didn't happen and Ronke therefore effectively became surplus to requirements.

Ronke didn't help his case today, but I also don't think he was given a great opportunity to advance that case.
