Autopsy 53 point win against GCS

I agree... J Mac has had a really good start to the year! Makes me think he's been carrying an injury for a while and recovered fully over the off season...

Needs more love, very underrated at the moment!
I rekn he's the best winger in the comp. Everyone raved about Langdon and gaff a few years ago, since then jmac for me is by far and away the best right now

Wow! That's a big call... I don't watch all the others, and when I do, it's not with the same intensity that I watch the Swans. So I'm in no position to agree or disagree, but I've really liked his (J Mac's) game this year!

Gulden is playing passable footy by his lofty standards - still bloody good, which I mean is a positive .

think as Adams continues to get fit etc he will get more space .

Liked Adams game hope he is ok

Melican was good too
I don’t this we can underestimate how important Melican has been to our strong start. Structurally he is just as important as McCartin. He only needs to play solid and the outcome is impressive.

This is probably best for the preview thread but Geelong and Carlton play next Saturday night. If Geelong lose, we'll know going into our game against the Hawks if we're playing for top spot or not.

So another good test of what we're made of mentally.
I hope it doesn't matter. Just bring our best full stop.

On a personal note, had one of those rare weekends where all my teams won. Friday night Dragons put in their best performance in years. Saturday morning, my son's soccer team won 2-1 with a spot kick at the death. This was followed by my daughter's netball team getting up for a good R1 win. Next was Sunday morning with my Son's footy team (AFL) winning their R1 match by 100. Then all capped off by a very solid win by the Swans. I'm going to bed very happy tonight.

I really like Grundy. Intelligent bloke who is good to listen to in the interviews.

Yeah it's nice to get a guy who always seemed likeable - not that it matters if they perform 😂

Funny old game in some respects, but liked how we really put it to bed in the 3rd and 4th. Plenty of good performers out there again, and a lot to like. Continue to be quietly impressed by Jordan, continues to do good things - and Grundy and Adams are huge additions at the experienced end of things. Very happy to also see Melican continuing to play well (hope he is okay for next week), and Heeney continues to charge on doing things other footballers can only dream of.

Great crowd today too - was jammed at the top level in the Red Zone!

Massive thumbs down however to the absolute idiot traffic wardens and cops managing traffic coming out of the precinct however.

Was our first home game for the year, and amazed it has got worse than last year. There is no good spot to park for heading back South (will try the schools again next time I think), but took us more than an hour to get from EQ parking to Anzac Parade, in particular thanks (not) to an idiot cop that was randomly deciding to force cars in the right hand lanes at Lang Rd wanting to turn right to to turn left - and then have to go up and turn back around. Was not every car - just totally at random. Would be no issue if there was any decent ability to head east or south going that way, but there really isn't (except for joining the queue at the other end of the stadium). Absolutely moronic traffic 'management' if you can call it that, as it wasn't at all fixing the traffic issues, just making it worse.

Gave him a proper gobful haha that I usually reserve for the men in yellow in the ground - took us 30 minutes just to get back to the point by the time the traffic moved. Took us 4 1/2 hours to get back to Canberra, which was a very long trip by normal standards and made it a very long day.

Melican has had a terrific start to the season. I feel like we are vulnerable at the back at the moment (missing the "General" abilities of Rampe), but Melican has been rock solid. May his body hold up, as great to see him somewhere near his best again!

Park at Juniors Kingsford and catch the Light Rail.
It's easy as.
Zip out to M5 and home.

Driving is just silly.

The other alternative is west of UNSW.
There are all day street parks within 200/300m walk of the light rail.

It's usually chill on a weekend.

We had some family stuff yesterday/early this morning in Northern part of Sydney earlier this weekend so wasn't an option this time as such, but will look at that option for next time.

Up until last year we never had too many issues driving to be honest, as we often arrive pretty early and generally have got decent car spots. But the traffic management and their idiotic ideas seemed to have got a lot worse in 2023 and 2024. Don't mind it taking a bit of time to get out - but don't enjoy absolute idiots making things a whole lot worse for no reason at all like the traffic cop today.

I reckon if you drive to the SCG. Allow yourself a minimum of 60 mins to get to ANZAC pde.
Especially this year as parking allocations have reduced.
I have a bunch of all day parking spots saved for weekend trips to the city.
