Same i want the pies to treat this match i guess as a warm up rehersal for week 1.

We are playing Brisbane potentally week 1.

need to win to gain that mental edge.

Also it frees us up for a true match sim training run against essendon be it in front of 80k at the mcg.

I think Pies will win but its will be a tight one.

This to me is first look at week 1 finals even tho its under a roof at Marvel.

We covered Moore and Nick D well so far.

We just need to do the same with JDG and Hill.

Like Cox to start ruck.

Since the start of 2019 Brisbane actually have the best winning percentage at Marvel out of all teams. 😉8/10. It would have been good to get some practice at the G against a gun side before September but we can’t complain.

Surely Collingwood could do us a favour and rest a few of their stars!
Computer says no. Port have won 13 out of their last 14 games at marvel

Port fans desperate for the pies not to put the cue in the rack and get over the line tonight.

Personally think the pies have a bit of experimenting to do to figure out their best 22 and positional changes for a grand final so even if they are resting a couple the hunger will still be there for the players that are on the fringe. I think Collingwood. Crazy that Brisbane are now in to favourites imo.

I would have cox in ahead of Cameron any day of the week as well. Cox can pluck a mark and doesn't miss many. Always a chance to kick 2 or 3 with few touches in a big game. Cameron doesn't offer enough upside on that to warrant selection ahead of cox.

Hearing a lot of excuses about why Collingwood can’t win tonight. Still the more experienced team. Don’t be so down Collingwood fans!

They have nothing to play for, it's at Brisbane's home away from home and Collingwood have a lot more quality missing.

Having said that their midfield depth is still pretty good Brisbane aren't in scintillating form.

Genuine 50/50.

Is it really in Collingwoods interests to win tonight? If Brisbane lock up the double chance and home finals then they will be odds on to face Collingwood in the Grand Final. I'm sure they would rather face an away from home Brisbane than some other Melbourne based teams. Personally, I would be surprised if Collingwood win tonight, by losing they can optimise their chances of facing an interstate team on GF day. Will be watching with great interest tonight to see how hard at it they are.
I don't think Collingwood will want to lose tonight. They aren't going to role over. They can't mess with form too much. If they win it increases our chances of finishing 4th. So there is plenty on the line for them.

Lions big underdogs here. Pies by 10-15 goals.

Only mathematically they could drop to third if Port had huge 190 wins, 2 weeks in a row, and Collingwood get smashed 2 weeks in a row. I think realistically their minor premiership could be threatened if they lose, which I think has monetary value?

Collingwood is flirting with danger at the pointy end of the season. Yes they don’t need to win, but these outs and ins feel like creating an excuse for when the inevitable loss happens
We’ve lost 2 of the last 3. It inevitably already happened.

Lions have shortened even further with more late outs anticipated for the Pies. Noble is one of them, I wonder if there’ll be another.

I get a feeling the Magpies will unleash the big Texan under the roof tonight. Andrews already needing to change the nappies.
