Free kick in the middle of thebground for dissent after carrying on about the touch. Didn't stop sooking after the free in the middle, so it becomes a 50. Not the way you want to see a game end, but pretty standard stuff as far as making the call.
It was a slight deflection off the shoulder. Can't expect the umps to see that. Doesn't matter how sure you are that they got it wrong, you aren't going to make them change the call. They still had a chance from there and threw it away.

Putting umps aside, freo had any urgency and more proactive game plan win that.

Fremantle won the free kick count +4 on the match, and had (I believe) 6 out of 9 goals.come directly from free kicks. Final decision aside they got.the rub of the green in this one...

Melbourne lost a game. We are undefeated beating a team who has had an incredible run so far.
If they paid dissent week in week out I’d be like - that’s fine. But I literally haven’t seen a dissent call for about a full season, so to pull one out to seal the game is just such a joke. It’s the inconsistency that kills you.

IMO dissent bad enough for a free kick is just an instant 1 game suspension. No one has the time for it

lol come on mate, they've been pretty average wins. Almost lost to some very average teams. I fully expect to beat Carlton by 4-6 goals on their current form to be honest.
That umpire should be stood down. Fancy making it all about himself in such a big moment.
