Oh of course channel 7 would find something as silly as that...questioning siddle's passion...yeah, try again.

I wouldn't question his passion, but he looked like a man on death row yesterday; one of our main bowlers only bowled ~10 overs with the match there to be won.

He knows hes lost it.

And with Marsh and Watson in the team it's his overs that are being cut

Not if Matthew Wade is the alternative he shouldn't! Haddin at his worst is still better than Wade behind the stumps!
Obviously you haven't seen much of Wade this year. His work behind the stumps has improved enormously. That's what got him the ODI gig.

Sure wasn't his batting which before the ODI selection wasn't that good.

Amazing match, TBH India only had a chance to win because the rain forced australia to declare on a lower total then they would have liked. However, watching India going for the win was f****** AMAZING. I hope they carry that attitude to the next test match.

Australia pulled off an amazing performance to win it, especially when india looked like they were in complete control with vijay and kohli batting together. Never expected that sort of performance from lyon, amazing utilisation of the pitch and what it offered. Hats off to Australia on the win but they know that this India team won't back down and I seriously hope they carry this attitude for the rest of the test series.

If Dhoni is back as captain they won't. He will instruct everyone to Rahul Dravid it.

I heard that said in the stump mic on the day, It sounded like Watson who is one of the more easily tempered people in the the team.. nothing issue in that department..if siddle is to be dropped then if so he will find it fairly hard to get back, then I hope people don't underestimate how important he has been throughout these past few years, despite the massive deterioration of form....he's been the leader of the pack for most of it.

Same could be said about clarke, but both are nearing the end you feel.

I reckon he's smart enough and management (ravi shastri) will have a massive say in how the team should play. Dhoni has done amazing things in Indian cricket and I'm sure he's desperate for an overseas victory in Australia. I trust and have enough faith in him to lead the team in the most appropriate manner for the situation. No one will know until the end of the next test match.

If india bowl as shit as they did in the first innings then it doesn't matter if a captain is aggressive because you will be smashed. IMO clarke is a massive out for the aussies in terms of obviously leadership and the unity/drive/belief he brings to that team, it'll be interesting if Haddin can replicate that or be similar.

Nope. It was the Aussie batsmen faffing around in the hour after tea that was responsible..

Siddle deserves to be dropped on performance. However, think it is extremely rough for people to question his effort and passion to play for Australia. Not the biggest bag of tricks but runs in hard and has got the most out of himself. I'll definitely remember him fondly

It is time to move on and even though he is very limited you can't question his heart. That said having 'heart' isn't enough. We have better and quicker bowlers now

Yep, 100% agree. Just saying he deserves plaudits for what he's achieved as a test player and remembered in a positive light. Better bowlers than him have lost that pace and never been the same at around the same age ( Gillespie)

Yes I do agree. Won't ever be my favourite bowler but he is the bowler a captain wants- bowling long (usually un-rewarded) spells to help give the strike bowlers a good rest.

I would worry (really worry) if his keeping could possibly get worse, it was approaching Germaint Jones standards! Wade I see potentially as a specialist bat, but I can' see his keeping ever being test standard.

I would say a good combination of both. The lost overs really hurt and that was amplified by the faffing about

Watson and Clarke coming in and using 20 overs hurt more than the overs. If they both get ducks we probably post a lead of 450!

Maybe, but if we had a bigger lead from the first innings, wouldn't have batted as long...

Doesn't matter too much now considering we won and it more importantly wasn't a draw
