I must admit it’ll be super interesting to see what happens “if” Rohan can get fit.

Close… too good to not play.

Stengle… finding form and looks good again.

Henry… is the most like for like with Rohan but is just too good not to play.

Dempsey… absolutely playing his role perfectly and consistently getting all the way up and down the ground.

Rohan would be an incredible sub IMO, bring him on at 3/4 time and he will cause chaos.

Similarly, the warmest AFL player I think I’ve ever met is James Sicily. A terrific guy.
I've had the same experience with Toby Nankervis. Just a wonderful, kind guy who didn't need to give his time, but did it anyway.

It's weird how it's often the players you expect to be arrogant or rude who actually end up being the best blokes off the field.

He's pretty good at both right now, so it's a tough call.

I saw a Dogs supporter mention that he's the 3rd best young inside/outside midfielder in the game behind Daicos & Gulden.

Was originally taken aback, but assuming he means 'young' is 2020 draft to now, and it's pretty hard to argue with. Certainly has one of the highest ceilings in the game.

Agree with what others have said. He's humming along really nicely, but I don't think he's scratched the surface of what he's capable of yet. Dempsey much the same.
I think as soon as we recruit some pace of half back, he's back in the midfield

Not sure how noticeable it was on TV versus being at the ground, but as they were getting ready to chair Tommy off he had his 3 kids hanging around

Arabella & Primrose being that bit older were ok, but young Henry was looking a little lost. Parfitt stepped in, picked up the young man and helped him watch his dad being chaired off

It's something really small, but thought it was a really touching & nice gesture from Parfitt - and you can see part of it in this clip

Is Duncan going to need a week off after carrying Tommy? Looked like he said "Jeez Louise" at one stage.

Was Danger's tailoring skills a big winner from today? - His rugby top was talked about both by ABC radio before the match and by Channel 7 during the rain break - and allegedly he made the top himself (or make accurately adapted an existing top)
Was that really a home job? I was telling the Mrs I wanted that top for my birthday

One the best parts of this year has been:

1. Collingwood supporters pretending they always hated Ginnivan

2. Hawthorn supporters pretending they always loved him and thought he was hard done by.

It's amazing what a change of colours can do.
Who said leopards never change their spots? 😜

What a bizarre but great game to watch live. Plenty of our top players were big contributors today.
But what I liked was Mullin, Kolo and plenty of young players had really good games. I’m not a big fan of either Kolo or Mullin but they were both really strong in the contest today.

Conway had a great first quarter, faded after that but still kept pushing and impacted a few contests through the game even ones he didn’t get possessions for. He will improve the more he plays but some great signs from him. People comparing his game to Stanley besides the inexperience, Stanley makes so many mistakes in game that are frustrating to watch.
On disposals, hit outs etc sure you’d be disappointed if that was Stanley’s game. But Stanley’s game has so many floors in it that he often makes the team worse through the middle. He had a fixed role and minimised his mistakes in the premiership season but he’s gone back to a game that allows too many mistakes in it. Having a positive impact on the game is one thing but negatively influencing is really hard to watch. At the moment when he’s in the team we are better when Blicavs takes the ruck.

Like many others I didn’t think Parfitt could get back to play like he has the last two weeks. It is a challenge with Bruhn, Clark, Atkins and Parfitt all similar mids playing in the same team. But Parfitt is in form those other 3 need to add some extra aspects to their game to find points of difference. It’s where Danger, Duncan and Holmes can really help if those guys get the ball out to them from stoppages.

It’s up on the cats shop for anyone that wants one

Please remind me who we got for Jordan Clark? He is definitely at his happy place, but tbh, his style and pace is exactly what we lack and desire back there.

* off Morris you w***er, why do you have to comment!! Fancy doing that to a bloke who just played 350. Anything for negative press for Geelong and Hawk, if anything maybe you should comment on Ginnipoos diving every opportunity to get a free.

Didn’t someone in this thread or Game Day, say it was a phone to BOM to check weather + anyone is allowed to use it?

Jezza was struggling at the end. Tommy’s face a few times, thought they were going to drop him. Hilarious 🤣

Could he go back to defence ?

It is probably hard now that Duncan and Holmes play off half back but to me that was when Atkins was at his most effective. He'd play down back and then you could release him to the midfield to good effect in Q4 when the opposition midfield was tiring. Yeah he finished runner up in the B&F playing full time mid last year but with no offence meant, that is pretty symptomatic of a team finishing 12th.

I do wonder if atkins could be a good small back again (as thats a hole we need to fill) but im not sure if we would go that way.
Yes I’ve been thinking that as well, not sure they’ll be keen to switch him during the season. But when Guthrie and Danger are back it’ll be a tight squeeze if the current mids maintain form. He’s a different player to Holmes but he could add some run and lock down ability down back on some smalls.
