Yep, reckon he was outvoted or 'convinced' at committee a few times over the journey but some of his decisions, e.g. Thommo, have vindicated him and he has taken the reigns more and more firmly

And how many games has Milera turned this year? Not many. If I recall correctly, he was decent against GWS and good against Freo, but other than that, he's been carried and his defensive efforts have not been good enough. IMO it is more likely this will be exposed big time in the finals than him turning a game.

The fortunate thing is that this is a dead rubber and there's a slight possibility he might play a blinder, but we could have selected someone actually in good form for this week like Menzel instead.

Cameron is so out of touch that his possessions hurt us last week. He needed to be dropped. Even if his replacement sucked he could always be brought back for the finals, with the benefit getting some confidence back in the reserves.

You aren't making any sense. Your original post stated "Cameron's intensity in finals compared to Menzel is polar opposite". You were comparing Menzel in finals to Cameron in finals. You can't make that comparison because Menzel has a grand total of 23% TOG in a single final as the sub and a 7th gamer. Charlie Cameron has played four full finals matches. Making a comparison between Cameron and Wigg, or Menzel and Wigg, also makes no sense for the same reasons.

I don't know. Haven't seen enough of Menzel in finals to make that assessment. What I do know is Cameron's current form is awful and I doubt he'll do anything in finals unless he has a monumental turnaround.

Unlike Milera, Menzel at least has put some good form together in the SANFL. Deserved a shot this week to see if he could play a part in the finals series. If he sucked, then just drop him and play Cameron in the finals. Cameron won't be getting much worse missing this game.

But we've let that opportunity pass, so let's just pray Cameron can turn it all around.

I don't think it really matters on the non-selection reason. 'omitted', 'managed', 'family reasons', does it rally matter?
Main thing is that if fit and ready, he should be slotting right into the side for the first Finals game. No doubt about it!

I think the moon boot doesn't tell us anything other than Tex having a foot injury, and they're maximising his recovery with the moon boot. Though if he can play the whole game against Sydney and walk off the ground without hobbling, I don't think Tex's foot injury is a real serious one. Certainly, if a minor foot injury, I doubt it if there should be any concerns for Tex to return for the Finals, hopefully fit and firing (we want the mongrel Tex)!

Milera is 3-4 years younger and has played the same amount of good AFL games this season that Menzel has played good SANFL games
