I see nothing !! haha. Its clear he is not what he was but we have some big inside types and he always goes well against us.

I do think he's past it and its clear imo we play better without him, but my quote wasnt me saying that about him, it was more emphasising that Shuey is hardly going to payout on a teammate in a media interview.

Has he been that bad fellas? I have watched a few of your games, but didnt know he was as bad as you guys see it.....
His output has definitely been way down. The frustrating part for most is that the club still talk as if he is an essential part of our midfield when the growing body of evidence seems to suggest that we would do just fine, probably better, without him. No one expects anyone from the club to shitcan him publicly, but there is a lot of frustration with an apparent resistance to making a hard call on an ageing star.

This gets multiplied by the fact that for the first time in a while we have at least a couple of guys who are putting their hand up to get a go in the midfield and may be missing out on that opportunity for the sake of deference to a senior player.

Then there are those who think he not only doesn't contribute but is a drag on the midfield, who won't really be proven right or wrong until we see what life is like without him.

There is an added sense of urgency this week for some I guess because if he walks back into the side after his injury that pretty much sets the tone for how he will be handled for the rest of the year. If they can't leave him out for another week under the pretext of not quite being fit, after a great win where a number of young players showed their mettle, you can guarantee he will be backed in every week for the rest of 2017. So for us it's a big week where we find out where he stands in our club's plans for this season.

Anyway that's more or less why there's more of a focus on him than usual, in my opinion.

The smart people have seen it for years (who started the original thread ;)) but now everyone is getting on board.

Offensively I don't think is where he hurts the team the most - I think it's defensively because he can't keep up with anyone so his team mates constantly have to cover for him which means other opposition players get free constantly.

He has been freed up a bit in his last few games and yes he does hurt us at the offensive end.Missing easy set shots.up and under passing, bad decision making.....say no more.

Priddis being an automatic in
Is exactly the reason why wce will not succeed, this year and coming years!
They accept mediocrity from there senior players!
Way too many passengers and for whatever reason simmo and co just turn a blind eye!

When will they start making smart decisions!
Football is a business ffs
Not a mothers club where we try to keep everyone happy!

If you are not performing you are out!
Regardless of your name!

Is that why they dropped Masten, Le cras, EMac, Redden, Butler and Jetta throughout the season? Because they were non performing senior players?

Champ it's like a revolving door for the match committee, out one week in the next!

Lecras dropped after 6 weeks no goal, bit of a joke if you ask me!

I was more referring to guys like priddis, hurn, cripps and darling!!

10 years for me. A lot more have had their eyes opened this year.

Masten was the only one dropped that wasnt listed as an injury when it comes to senior players. Lecras and Priddis are always listed as injured if they get dropped and then rushed straight back in without having to prove their fitness.

My point exactly!
It will happen again this week
No doubt!

So you wouldn't have played a guy who won a brownlow and finished runner up the following year

He's struggling for form at the moment but let's not pretend at his peak he was a more than decent footballer despite his limitations
