Unofficial Preview Changes vs GWS

Rob stays in ....tick, back the improving young guy
Mrouch comes in....tick, improves the team
Hartigan comes in......tick, improves the team due to GWS match ups
Douglas in...... jury out, but showed class, speed and form in the SANFL last week (according to a knowledgeable source of mine).

As we won last week we are selecting best 22 on form and balance for beating GWS. We are going all in for now, as we should.

If we win this we'll be 7 - 5.

(I'm expecting Sloane to be an out to be replaced by Gibbs or Greenwood though)

If anyone considers last week to be a vindication of anything, when Melbourne kicked 1.8 in the last quarter, then they're as deluded as employees of the AFC.
We ran out of gas when we had to comeback with only 21 fit players (with our best player and midfielder gone) after quarter time in 27 degree heat, that's why Melbourne had 9 scoring shots.

So birdbrain says the players dropped is less about form and more about ‘ team balance ‘ then why would we have them on the emergency list ? We make zero sense. We will be destroyed. Dumb selections.

Do you know what an emergency is?

Who could’ve predicted this thread’s level of melt in the week we’ve brought Matt Crouch back in and dropped Mackay.

I'm still not getting why this means why we have dropped Gibbs to the SANFL though.

He played ok last week, including tagging their most dangerous player last week... so mentally ok to play football.

If he needed a break, why is he playing SANFL? Wouldn't we give him a complete break?

I don't get it...

I would love to know what the hell he bets on where he is hemorrhaging money to that extent.

Is lhe betting on coin toss? Roulette? X-Lotto? Glory be, please not pokies.

FFS Why not play Greenwood solely as a deep Full Forward? Not much of tank needed, if he parked himself there, takes 3 marks, kicks 3 goals and provides defensive pressure I50. Thats a massive win. Im just stunned the selectors dont see this.

I lost my sht1t last week when we would go deep to Murphy for a one on one contest.

Meanwhile Eddie still wants a car for mark of the year.

Our forward structure makes no sense whatsoever. Its absolutely flawed. It can work against crap teams, but we get truly exposed and cared up against quality opposition.

Greenwood doesn’t provide defensive pressure I50 because he’s slow.

Yeah that was it, it’s not like Melbourne weren’t on top for the rest of the game. Fair dinkum you post some ****
Still, when you consider who that player was and the position of the game when he went off, there's still some positives to take from it.

So we go in having no one to tag Cogs or Kelly if they get of the chain. We didn't even bring in Knight as that option.

Gibbs seemed ok mentally last week having to concentrate in a lockdown role...
They don't want to tag though. We have an offensive midfield, defence is an afterthought. I'm sure they didn't plan on using Gibbs as a tagger last week, eventually their hand was forced. They'll find someone else to do it if they have to this week.

Nah, we were lucky to beat the second bottom team. It was a shit performance. Had they kicked straight in the last we would have been ducked.

Put the man on the mark 10m closer towards goal and I would have backed any Bigfooty posters on our board to have nailed those 3 missed set shots by Melbourne in the last 5 minutes. :drunk:

If I am not mistaken that may have been one of the first times ever the Crows won a game with a kick after the siren and shot on goal missed with the difference being less than a goal?:think::think:

I have no issue entering the game not to tag, but stupid to take on GWS midfield guns with no plan B option.

Who else tags? Douglas?

Gibbs has tagged for half a game in his whole career and people are acting as if hes Cameron Ling.

The ultimate tag.
