I'm not a fan of the idea either, but that's a broad football belief that Camporale has, regardless of who we are playing. I would assume it'd be Douglas, i've always thought Kelly could do the role well if we needed someone to tag as well.

Greenwood doesn’t provide defensive pressure I50 because he’s slow.

Rather play a full 18 than have a defensive forward that doesn’t hurt the oppo in the role.

No doubt he will do well, he may even be best on ground but it is time to move on. It says alot about the current state of the list and what we think of some of the younger guys in our squad.

Yeah I'm glad he's out. I think that the best taggers are players who are very aware that they don't have the talent level to demand regular selection unless they put in insane effort to maintain an endurance base and relentlessly scrag their matchup every week.

I don't think it's sustainable with Gibbs. Maybe you could pump him up for a week or two to shut someone down but I think he'd just go back to skating by on talent like he has for his whole career and you'd go in circles.

Douglas has been mediocre, at best, for the last 12 months - why is he back in?

McHenry, Jones, Wilson all talked up and performing extremely well; barely get a look in.

I must admit at times I thought Atkins has been harshly done by but I watched the replay again. He was horrendous. Incredibly insipid performance.

There's no logic in some of the selections this year. To me it feels like Pyke is just trying anything he can to get that elusive premiership knowing this year will be his last chance. Unfortunately he could destroy the future playing group trying to get the premiership that he's not going to get.

He's learnt nothing from the 2017 GF debacle.

BTW Wilson isn't AFL quality.

My memory sucks these days but didn't we improve this year when Greenwood got back into the team. We all know he can take a pack mark and is clean on the ground. His physical presence and size is always a problem for the opposition and he does occasionally kick the odd goal.
Perhaps the match committee is worried about his leg speed for this game seeing as the Giants have pace in most areas.
I can only hope this is a 'match up' decision for this one game because we are better far better with Hugh playing than him not.

I can’t believe what most are saying, Douglas never to play again because of his age.
He’s been a good player for us over the years and if in form deserves to be in the team.
People on here forget so easily and jump off players very quickly.

He deserves his spot on form, at any age
