6F is cold!:D

Agreed ChiTown.
Soft campaigners wouldn't last 5 minutes back home.

Maybe post a pic of Soldier Field mid NFL season for comparison ;)

I mean as in the Umpire said hes got to get rid of it.. but how when the ball is pinned to his head by Cox.
Not the issue though. It was a bad call because of a lack of prior. If he can't get rid of it, it's holding the ball. It's a good tackle if he can't get rid of it in any way

This is at night and is colder, plus lots of transport drama today
friday nights people generally stick around the city and head in. Plus night games are generally a bigger drawing game

The transport drama is crap. The delays were 15 minutes on each line from 4:30-7:30

Maybe Collingwood should look to sell off some games against interstate sides next year

Pies don't need handouts or to rattle tins like your mob.

Why wouldn't the game have been scheduled for Docklands?

I know WA teams bitch and moan about getting games at the G but if we're "maximising revenue", why should anyone give a shit?

Just another example of AFL hypocrisy.

If you want to get to the footy you get there, some of the reasons people come up with on BF to defend garbage attendances are comical. The real issue in why most didn't turn up is Collingwood having a bad season.

Geez the Collingwood bashing doesn't stop. Whether it's the coach, the president, the quality of players, the manner in which we lose when we do, the manner in which we won when we do, the crowd numbers we pull....

Any opportunity to have a stab. Yet it's probably the same people who tell Caro to harden up and stop taking jabs at people herself.

You used one too many full stops in your ellipse. Collingwood.

The tragic thing about mess of a team (Freo) is their fans defend ross to the nth degree.

Honestly how could you go and watch this crap week in, week out?
Crap to watch. Doesn't win.

Yet he's never held accountable. I don't get it.

Last nights game was a glaring indication this team is going nowhere - got their arses handed to them by a very ordinary team very much in the same boat.

Funny thing is if it were a Melbourne or Doggies, the sweetheart teams, people would be complimenting the whole winning ugly and giving some sort of credit. Don't think I've read one yet.

It was cold but **** me its friday night footy

Our crowds drop when the weather is shit too but not by like 50-60% or whatever it is
You had 20k against the Tigers in much better conditions?

I mean as in the Umpire said hes got to get rid of it.. but how when the ball is pinned to his head by Cox.
Its a dead set grey rule problem the ump can pick anything he deems to fit . It is as in a few issues with different holding /caught /dropping and other things. One being that the out of bounds deliberately is preety impossible to be 100% sure , an ump could call one and cost a goal or a game. I''ve been on about black and white and fair rulings for everyone on the ground and that includes umpires , they have to make the split decisions and that is a major problem in Aussie rules now, the fact that one day a perception may just be used backwards for gambling killings.

Its not over the top the sporting world is diseased with cheats. We want to make sure it never ever comes in big time in our sport. Maybe it already has, but our game lends itself to the stitch up,only take one rotten apple.

This is why the rules committee needs to go back to the black and white , and no doubt , so a bloody fan can pick what its for?

Wonderful attempt by Freo supporters to derail the actually facts of the game.
Crowd or no crowd I was there watching. Fremantle are the most insipid soft side I have ever seen. Their attack on the ball was putrid, their skills a disgrace and they were beaten by a far better side who was extremely under manned. No wonder they have never won a Premiership and I doubt they ever will. They are WAFL at best. There is only one Western Australian team and the second rate club that is dished up in Western Australia is nothing short of embarrassing. Thank god for the Eagles or football would be dead in WA.

Extremely undermanned?? We only have 17 on the injured list. Are you an idiot or just stupid?

Oh dear, a Collingwood supporter trying to show brains and falling flat on his face.

Let's explore this shall we

Collingwood Injury List
Taylor Adams Hamstring 2-3 weeks
Tim Broomhead Ankle 1-2 weeks
Jamie Elliott Back Season
Alex Fasolo Fractured scapula 3-4 weeks
Tom Langdon Ankle 1-2 weeks
Darcy Moore Fractured collarbone 2-3 weeks
Jackson Ramsay Knee Season
Matt Scharenberg* Knee Season
Brayden Sier Hand 3-4 weeks
Dane Swan* Broken leg/foot Season

Yes that's 10 players injured so yes, undermanned to a certain degree but then we look at Fremantle

Fremantle Injury List
Michael Apeness Collarbone 4 weeks
Harley Balic* Wrist TBC
Harley Bennell Calf Season
Matt de Boer Knee 4-6 weeks
Nat Fyfe* Fractured leg Season
Jon Griffin Hamstring 2 weeks
Brady Grey Ankle 6-8 weeks
Ethan Hughes Calf 2 weeks
Sean Hurley Hip Test
Anthony Morabito Ankle 1 week
Tendai Mzungu Hamstring 3 weeks
Michael Johnson Knee/hamstring TBC
Ryan Nyhuis Knee 3-4 weeks
Alex Pearce* Leg Season
Clancee Pearce Concussion Test
Aaron Sandilands Ribs 4 weeks
Tanner Smith Hamstring 6-8 weeks
Alex Silvagni Calf 3 weeks
Matthew Uebergang Hamstring TBC

That is 19 players on the injury list for those plating at home.

Now if 10 players is extremely undermanned, what exactly is 19 players?

10 <<<<<<<<<19

Didn't they ever teach you how to count?

As for the game itself, you could tell from the warm up that Freo were flat (not really much of a surprise when you compare a 6 day break to 13 day break) and Collingwood took full advantage.

In saying that, Collingwood weren't exactly great either. They just came up against a team that was worse.

You had 20k against the Tigers in much better conditions?

in terms of percentages, member numbers and average attendance, 20k at subi is far better than 20k at G. I was surprised we didn't get at least 25k to that game tbh - but I see your point

Still thought 30k would have been achievable for last night

It was actually 6 degrees. Not 2. That's like saying there was 60k when there was actually 20k

Who cares how many games they have access to. Still only 11 home games technically. Some fans are very fickle. Yes weather and performance are always going to have a reflection on attendances but tonight was worse than expected
It's really not.
