I didn't realise they made them that short!
Yeah ive met him a few times and he is tiny. Can totally understand clubs refusing to recruit him. But he won back to back Morrish Medals so no doubting his abilities. Always thought someone could at least rookie him, but problem was that he is good in just about every area of his game but not great in any one area including pace and skills. For someone his height, he'd have to excel at something or be lightening quick. Just a natural footballer, but wouldn't cut it at AFL you'd reckon

Maybe Simon Black just made him look good?

Seriously though Black was on the end of 95% of those hitouts - what a gun.

There is a real possibilty with few clubs needing ruckmen and the reluctance of clubs to pick ruckmen in the first round that Brodie Grundy will be availabe at 18 and 19. Surely we would need to take him if he is available, and whilst unlikely this would have to be our best case scenario.

Shade, I think he's been a mentor for him going back a while, so I guess it doesn't hurt his prospects at North, but no more, no less than that.
Putting up the same message three times doesn't make it more real, though. You may not be reading too much into it, but you are reading it too many times!

On Hrovat, he has been in contact and trained with Harvey in the past. From what I remember reading in an article some time ago when he went on holidays interstate for 2 weeks last Christmas break he did x2 gym sessions a day and worked with Harvey on his game - having obviously had the success he has had as that smaller player and trying to learn some tricks off the champ.

Whoever we pick up in the draft just remember we are adding Ball, Krakour, McCaffer, & Keefe to next year's line up, along with Q.Lynch & C.Young. Exciting times.

Why would Adelaide do that? seems a strange thing to do.

Adelaide known this draft doesn't go so deep. They recognise that their selections are low.

By giving up these selections they are hoping for reduced/no future draft pick penalties and losing pick 20 this year is better than losing say pick 15 then a 2nd rounder next year.

Not the worst move.

Melbourne should follow suit.
Those bloody tankers.
Show some good will!
For our sake! :p

Most likely a stupid move by Adelaide trying to suck up to the AFL to lessen their punishment.
But they've made enough stupid moves of late so what harm could another one do?

hoping for
18-stringer
19-garlett
20-tim o'brien.. who is o'brien?

Is there any chance geelong don't take stringer? Wasn't going to put him is because i thought he was always going to go top 10ish, i only put him there because most of the phantom drafts think he will some how slide to our picks.

Add in the fact they already have crouch and are committed to Joyce and callinan and this draft is weakened due to mini draft and it is a very smart move by the crows.

If Grundy slides to GWS at 14 and they pass on him would that bring him to 18?
