I don’t think they need to be in win now mode to keep a 23 year old who is signed til 2027.

The deal would need to be enough for them to sign off, it sounds like they’re pretty confident they can sort things out with Pickett.

All the big names already re-signed during the year so now we're at the dregs. This Petracca story is like mana from heaven for the media now.

Pickett is a 23 year old star who has the potential to be a superstar. If we can contrive to get him with the Barrass Pick 12ish as the centrepiece, you pull the trigger and enjoy the career of your multi AA small forward who provides frenetic pressure (sometimes too much) and 40 goals per year at the feet of Jake and Oscar.

on career output for sure, but as of 2025? Pickett is seriously, seriously good.

I reckon Ryan and brockman might find another gear with kozzie in. Also handy to have those leaders around to help develop malakai

I’m not putting up our R1 or F1 for Kosi.

He's a flash in pan, goes missing a lot and then has no discipline. He can't and won't ever go into the midfield full time. Just another liam Ryan. So, if we do trade Ryan out then use that pick for Pickett. But no giving off any round one picks for him. We need consistant ball winning mids and need to draft 2 of them this draft.

If he wants to come home and Baker nominates us I’m pretty confident he’ll be coming too and yes he nominated a 6 month contract, not an 18 month contract.

Hutch and Blight have shown to be the best two picks from that draft IMO.
