If we're splitting 3 for 12 and 14, I hope we don't stop there.
Split 12 for 33 and 44, then 14 for 58 and 64.

Turn 3 into 33, 44, 58, 64.
I'm sure the idiots at Trade Radio would be stoked!
You didn't really maximise that. We could potentially get 25 round 6 picks.

Carlton really, really want FOS but they simply don't have the currency to get our pick 3.

If Draper is gone by 3 maybe we move back but that'll be on draft night.

Big issue with the TB trade now is Hawks got absolutely spanked by Carlton. The Hawks trade is one of the biggest losses in recent memory when it comes to a trade that was simply lost on the day it occured

Hawks are now basically trying to bully us into taking the remainders of that terrible trade... Clarke gotta make sure that doesnt happen

Its 2 F1st and Hawks just accepting the terrible trade they did in losing Pick 14

Baker is really hurting my head right now and i wish the club could address these questions

First, he's a fine player but he's the type of player a savvy club gets for no trade cost via FA. See for example Pies getting Perryman, Crows getting Cumming, Saints gettiing Battle. We target a bloke a year before his FA year and get stuck into publically saying he's worth a pick in the teens. Why?

Second, putting aside Baker, we are rebuilding but spending a first rounder on a 27yr old. Why? We have a complete dearth of young players and need as much young talent as possible. If we are not rebuilding why have we pushed Barass out. Trading in Baker and trading out Barass just makes no sense at all if Baker is costing us a first rounder. Are we rebuilding or not? We are not the case of some rebuilding clubs in the past like Blues and Demons who had a bevvy of top picks and could top up.

This is not how you do a rebuild. I feel like we are just meandering and not being savvy nor ruthless. Same issues that got us here.

I don't disagree with the rest of your post, but half of our list in under 21; we have a dearth of players Baker's age, especially leaders, which probably explains our interest.

Hey mate, I do enjoy your insights. From your sources, we into Draper or Jagga at pick 3?

Can't confirm entirely but I think we have Draper high. He and Jagga are very confident boys. We'd be lucky with either.

Lets keep 3

3 with Saints

Hawks give: F1 x 2
Hawks get: TB, F2 linked to Saints

Saints give: 8, F2
Saints get: F1 x 2 tied to Hawks and Carlton

WC give: TB
WC get: 8

Send Richmond 26 for Baker

Draft FOS and Travaglia

Off season of FOS, Travaglia, Baker, Graham, Champion and Owies

All the talk is the Saints trading their F1 into this year rather than the other way around. Saints and Hawks ain’t doing it

In 4 years who are our senior players who might be best 22? Baker, Allen, Waterman, Duggan, maybe HEdwards? and thats about it, theyll all be 28-31. Rest will be 25 or under
Yes we might get some other players traded in or some free agents, but eve if we bump that mature age bracket to 6-7 players in 4 years time, thats still not a lot.

Need players at Bakers age bracket.

Is it just me or do clubs keep rehashing the same offers with us?

Carlton: "We will give you 12 and 14 for 3."

WCE: "No."

Carlton: " How about 14 and 12?

Open Letter to Liam Baker

Dear Liam

If you really love the Eagles, you will do the right thing and re-sign with the Tigers for 1 year more season. After that year, you then hit the free agency mark at the end of 2025. Ideally it sets you up as an UFA but given Richmond have few real stars to pay, it may just be a RFA. The option is for you to avoid the Dockers and take a modest contract that is not in the top 25% at Tigerland.

If your desire to be back in Perth is that strong, please swallow your pride and do the mighty Eagles a favour and agree to wear the purple. Greater love hath no man but to lay down your playing career for the good of a club. Not ideal, but that is the cost of you trying to come home prior to FA yet asking for the club to pay your old club overs.

PS. We apologise for taking Ryan Burrows 5 picks before you in the rookie draft in 2017. Like we regret taking Brander at pick 13 earlier that week.
I'd edit it down to
G'day champion
We're really looking forward to having you at the eagles. But if you want to play in a competitive team before you retire let us grab you pick 3 in the PSD. This whole "fair" compensation for Richmond isn't going to fly
Cheers
