I found when being a mod myself years ago, it helped me filter stuff and not get worked up over everything someone says about my club. (God knows we've given everyone enough ammo)

Not worth the energy trying to put out every little spot fire on social media, especially the MB on BigFooty of all places.

The Brockman situation would be a concern for the hawks.
With an obvious family pull to return home to WA, if he decides he wants the Eagles, who are reported to have an attractive offer on the table, he can just pack his bag and stroll straight into his new surroundings at season’s end with the hawks having to accept whatever the Eagles offer … if anything at all …

Don't mistake me having fun with opppsition trolls as getting worked up.

This place is a laugh most of the time.

You should write this again on some other board and make it 3 attempts at getting a bite. For good measure.

With Breust and Wingard close to finished, the prospect of losing Brockman for nothing would be a real issue for Mitchell and the list management team.
It would leave the hawks threadbare for small forwards with Lewis also in desperate need of key position support …

You know nothing about our list if you think it would leave us threadbare for smalls.

It would be disappointing, but that’s about it. Butler, O’Sullivan and Bennetts would then just get more opportunities.

You need to seek counselling buddy. As a Carltank fan you’re way too invested in all things Hawthorn. You clearly need to worry about your own backyard.
he has a few mates obsessed with belittling Essendon too. Just an unhinged fan seeking distraction from ones own poor club it seems.

Early doors it seemed they were possibly tanking but Mitchell has instilled some fight and grit into the group. Cant help but be impressed with the resolute they have now to take up the fight.

Being a young group, more seasoned teams over run them. Challenge for Mitchell and the Hawks is to continue to grow and build as we have all seen over the years, being young does not ultimately mean you will be good but the Hawks certainly have some impressive young pieces in place.

WTF. I have never seen this level of blatant tanking acceptance by a club. Sam Mitchell outright said he wanted to tank and not meddle around in the middle. Their trade period.

Are the ******* AFL going to step in and do something? AFL need to go down hard on Hawks and strip them of picks

I've never seen another club purposely and blatantly tank. It's unfair they are doing that to obtain a generational player in Harley Reid

They are completely compromising the draft!!!
I’d forgotten how amusing this OP is.

Well at the moment young DGB would probably struggle to get into Carltanks great well established key position forward/back line that is the driving force behind it’s strong ladder position ……… one spot above the Hawks!

DGB subbed out statless at half time in another capitulation yesterday.
To be dropped for a fourth time this season would no doubt be a real concern for Mitchell who would have been hoping the sixth draft pick in his third season would be a cornerstone in the club’s rebuild …

Yes, I’m deeply troubled by this.

Troubled. So very troubled. How will I go on?

And my spies haven’t turned up anything regarding Dingley. I know this keeps you up at night. Sadly, I have nothing to ease your unbridled anxiety. In brighter developments, my best carrier pigeon, ‘Speckled Jim’, is raring to bring you news once it reaches my ears.

Perhaps you need to upgrade your spies mate.

Massive concerns for the project which directly impacts the hawks rebuild …

I’ll be the first to admit that DGB isn’t progressing as well as what we would like but as you know being a Carlton supporter you can have multiple nu 1 picks and most of them can turn out to be spuds. Having said this currently very happy with the clubs progression in its rebuild and all the young talent that we have. Another couple of first rounders again in a couple of months time. When most of the kids are at 50-100 game mark finals will come again soon with or without DGB. To think that the success of Hawthorns rebuild is dependent on one player is hilarious. It’s a team sport yeah 😂

These kind of rebuilds are tough mate and come with no guarantees.
Pumping 50/60 games into young blokes doesn’t automatically mean they’ll make the grade and take the team straight back to finals.
There’s 18, and soon to be 19 clubs all playing the same game and trying to improve.
There’s many elements involved along the way with the need to retain young players like Brockman as just one example …

The home base factor is overhyped.

I mean, that Ikon Park white elephant hasn’t stopped Carlton from attracting match winning guns like McGovern, Williams, Martin and Saad from other clubs. For the life of me, I can’t understand why De Konica is waiting to extend his tenure there.

From a supporter of the club that wrote the bible on tanking - and both testaments at that - what wisdom can you impart so that our club doesn’t incur the same wretched, prolonged fate as the Blues?

We were 30pts up with DGB statless as a key forward, which is apparently a major concern?

You might not be concerned with DGB but I’m sure Mitchell and the club would be worried at this stage.
It’s tough in rebuild when high first round draft picks amount to nothing.
Dingley now a major issue for the club, having recently lost the project management and the club still searching for a CEO.
Surely the hawks wouldn’t tumble into Simon Lethlean would they …

Completely disagree a lot of kids have shown plenty and after seeing plenty of success over the years and what was leading up to it ……. something special is brewing at Hawthorn under Sam mark my words ☝️

Then why the need for hawthorn to pump over 100 million into an old tip site ?
SYL has correctly pointed out that this thread isn’t about Carlton … or any other club.
There’s more than enough to discuss here relating to the hawks rebuild …
