It's a good thing most footy supporters don't know crap about trading. If more people actually understood this stuff, "pundits" like Russel would be laughed out of the room....and there it is, is pick 14 par for what they should get
Lol
Who wants to live in Geelong? Its the arse end of the world.Apparently Parfitt has a 2 year contract in front of him now from Geelong, however hasn't signed yet. Someone posted here a few a days ago that Adelaide were chasing him and had possibly proposed a 4 years deal. Then extrapolated from that, that it could be help increase an offer that Geelong make to Crouch.
I haven't really seen it anywhere else. Make of it what you like I guess
My comment was based on how GWS rate him. And for me I think GWS would see 29 as unders for Hately in a straight up trade. But this is not a straight up trade. This is a out of contract player seeking a trade with the team with the 1st pick in the PSDNo-way is #29 unders ......think some maybe over valuing him and his output over the last two seasons
His original draft position is now completely irrelevant
There will be much higher rated players being traded for higher Draft picks than Hately at #29
They can see it however they like.My comment was based on how GWS rate him. And for me I think GWS would see 29 as unders for Hately
What GWS publicly postulate for, and in-house what the know they'll be accepting, are entirely differentMy comment was based on how GWS rate him. And for me I think GWS would see 29 as unders for Hately
Unlikely, he looks Saints bound. My comment was only IF Caldwell also asked to be traded to Adelaide..
Moggs Creek is lovely though...Who wants to live in Geelong? Its the arse end of the world.
Which is why my original post dealt with value vs reality of the scenario! They can see it however they like.
If they do laugh and say do you really want to get nothing him?Hope they don't ask for a really high pick otherwise that would add disappointment to picking him up. Can anyone tell me what he would bring to our midfield?

Yep, which is pretty much 100% the point of my original post. What GWS publicly postulate for, and in-house what the know they'll be accepting, are entirely different
If you drive through it, I agree.Moggs Creek is lovely though...
I just love how the AFL "media" is angryWhich is why my original post dealt with value vs reality of the scenario!
I think pick 29 is less than he's worth in this draft especially factoring in the Covid-19 effect on getting a true gauge on the Vic draftees this season. I'd be perfectly comfortable giving up pick 29 for a player you know 100% what you're getting against possibly drafting one of the Vic lads with no 2020 form line or SA and WAFL lads that have had no senior exposure with that same pick.No-way is #29 unders ......think some maybe over valuing him and his output over the last two seasons

Port Adelaide. Always best to carry a metal baseball bat.My sister lives there and pre-Covid I was a regular visitor. Has its pockets of low-income people just the same as Adelaide. Not a bad place to live at all. Lots of amenities, lovely parks and gardens, the foreshore is lovely, good pubs and restaurants. Any place bar Port Adelaide is what you make of it.

Oh mate, nothing in this world makes me happier then listening to the AFL media flogs enraged over the system favouring us for a change!I just love how the AFL "media" is angry

Music to my ears
Torquay is beautiful.
its just a real shame we are not trying to poach a kid from a vic club like Carlton or Geelong - I would have been begging the club to use the PSD routeThere's a lot to be said for being fair traders. Trying to ream clubs just because you hold the PSD card is bad form, trade in good faith. It's the same with bidding on NGA/Academy players, bid where they are consensus rated is what all clubs expect and do.
Pick 29 is about right IMO.
Shit I always speed up when I'm going through Corio to visit friends in Lara.My sister lives there and pre-Covid I was a regular visitor.
