5 on the bench PLUS a concussion sub is ideal.
Not so. Concussion is the only grey area injury where tests and time (20 minutes) is necessary. Player off, can (rarely) go back on if not a true concussion, but a player down is not fair, specially if sub already used.If we have a concussion sub the same problem will happen
Coaches will bitch about being a man down due to a hammy/rib etc and they can't sub whilst the other team subbed a concussion and the AFL will bend and make it a sub for any injury. Then coaches will bitch that they didn't get to use the sub whilst the other side did due to injury which gave them a fresh player and the AFL will bend letting them use the sub for anything...... Repeat for ever
Just make it 4 or 5 or whatever number on bench and deal with it
Like i said we had that and coaches bitched and AFL bent the kneeNot so. Concussion is the only grey area injury where tests and time (20 minutes) is necessary. Player off, can (rarely) go back on if not a true concussion, but a player down is not fair, specially if sub already used.
5 plus concussion. Not extravagant. Concussion is the only injury where they may even introduce a special concussioin doc at each match. You can use your 5th as the anything sub, but if it was my jurisdiction, definitely a separate concussion sub.We had 4 on the bench, PLUS a concussion sub
But then teams complained that they were too restricted with the use of the sub and wanted it as an anything sub
But we did not have 5 on the bench.Like i said we had that and coaches bitched and AFL bent the knee
Numbers won't matter coaches will bitch and the AFL will bend at the knee.. Don't give them the chance toBut we did not have 5 on the bench.

lol what? Are we the weakest 6-0 team in AFL history
If you ever get involved in team management, concussion is an anomaly. Effectively a player down for 20 minutes in theory, extending out to the whole match, dependoing on when. Don't ask me about > 1 concussion per team in a game, as that can also happen, but the concept of 4 bench, one sub, PLUS a concussion sub is idealNumbers won't matter coaches will bitch and the AFL will bend at the knee.. Don't give them the chance to
Still, the concussion sub may not get used at all, great, hence the reason to alternate that player so that no player is a concussion sub twice. It would take less than half a season for complaints about the requirement being too strict, the sub then gets opened up as an anything goes sub and within a couple of seasons the call will be for 6 on the bench
I have no issues keeping it as 4 & a sub - if they want to make it a concussion or injury replacement sub, then make it mandatory that the player subbed out automatically misses the next week and is ineligible for selection at any level
I hope they keep him forever as that will mean they stay pretenders for ever
Norf 2016 is.Are we the weakest 6-0 team in AFL history
They were 10-0 and almost missed finalsNorf 2016 is.
NM 2016- 9-0, then finished 12-10Are we the weakest 6-0 team in AFL history

Let's hope it continues all year.Poorly phrased, every team we've beaten has been subsequently proven to be terrible.
