who is having a sook? I put my hand up when im wrong, even just said Ethan and I interpret things differently
You are. You literally said you're moving Menzies out of the side. That's not interpretation differences, that's you saying Menzies won't play and now you're sooking about being called on it.

Anyway, Lore will tell me to shut up soon so I'm done. :)

Going to be a lot of selection pressure when Parish/Setterfield/Sheil get healthy.

Especially with Cox and AMT in the 2s tracking to be best 22 by the end of the season.

Won’t be an easy side to pick when healthy
Many , many noses going to be put out of joint. Inevitable.

It’s funny, when we’re winning without him I’m like “cash in for Parish”, when we’re losing im like “gotta keep him, he’s invaluable”.

Thinking about it more now, I’m hoping he stays…hopefully he wants to stay even more now.

Our VFL side is very very average though. Very few AFL listed players in the midfield. Only really Tsatas and that was recent. Not sure what to make of Cox just yet. Hard for him to break into the AFL side without some injuries. The one I am hoping might get an AFL run before end of the year is Reid as I think he can be the most obvious difference maker given Zack and Lav are so under-sized. And I don't see Cox holding down full back.

Walla isn't doing much but hard to be a small forward in a VFL side that is losing although they have played him on-ball a bit. Menzie needs to stay in AFL side and Guelfi probably does enough to keep a spot ahead of Walla and Wanganeen. Interestingly, Davey had 16 touches in the VFL and despite not hitting the scoreboard, he had 9 tackles which is immense. Would like him to play more AFL this year.

Anyway, good to have selection problems.

Anyway anyway, f@ck Carlton.

I wasn't able to watch the third as I was heading out at the time but was happily listening, and it had me thinking, when was the last we came out with such fire after halftime? I feel like we were the exact opposite last year. I strongly recall games where it was tight for a half and then we were useless in the third.

This is the hardest essendon side ive seen since 2000 with MJ, JJ, solomon, barnard, etc

Perkins, hobbs, menzie, caldwell, duz - zero fear for contact.
Redman, lav and guelf too
There was a great mark at one stage too by Zerk for a tumbling mongrel punt that was falling short/fell short and he was straining everything to reach out for it and mark it without fear of what was coming.
That was also extremely courageous.

silvagni was a highlight for me, he has the best resting cry face in the country, always looks like he is going to burst into tears at any tick of the clock. His shocking body language was laughable, mouthing off to various teammates throughout his t.o.g and then proceeding to burn a free teammate and try and dribble one through only to hit the post.
Glorious.

I'm ashamed to say i watched all 2 hours and 24 minutes of this......and it wasn't enough.
Some of it is very funny. The guy says "I am closer to some of my ex girlfriends than Young was to Peter Wright."

When you look at Carlton's year, they started well but was a draw against Tigers (who have been up and down), beat Cats (which seemed impressive but Cats started very slowly and lost to Suns the next week who started slow themselves) then beat Kangas but only by 4 goals and Giants in Syd (who arent all that good). They flogged Eagles (which is basically a bye) but rest has been diabolical. And despite having 2 Coleman medalists, they can't score. Whilst they had 1 more scoring shot, many of their shots were long bombs and weren't going to make too many of those.

i think their scoring comes down to their entries, there’s no coordination, there’s no consistency, they kick to leads in the pocket and can’t convert the east shots when they need to. i don’t remember but i can’t recall them getting any score from a mark inside 50 in the first half, all just mongrel balls or outside 50 shots

Just a beautiful day, eat at The Rising Sun, bump into Dean Rioli and politely ask if he’d have a pic with the young fella, very accomodating Deano, had to explain to the boy that this is Essendon royalty.
Wander down to The Cricketers, catch up with old Bomber mates, into standing room, absolutely electric in there, “ is there a fire drill “ ?
Superb day/night.
KBE ! Oh what a night.
Essendon beating the old enemy and the Aussies beating the Indians on the same day to take out the World Test Crown!

What a day/night alright!!

That's insane, why the hell would anyone do this?
yeah it's very embarrassing, i can understand being frustrated but that's genuinely shit behaviour
