Crows supporters taking the loss well it sounds like
Nah Drapes dived on it like the ball was on fire. He was lucky Tex dived on his back and put his arm there quick enough just to cause a little uncertainty.I was only able to listen to the end on the radio, and they were making a big fuss about the non-call on Draper so I was expecting something more aggrevious.. talk about a hoo-ha over nothing. He was already on the ground, the ball was knocked under him, and then someone jumped on his back.. this was all in the space of less than 2 seconds.. But I'm sure the media will still get hours and hours of material out of it..
I love that he's just come out and said that straight up. Absolutely love it.Draper said:Makes up for the one at halftime they gave the Crows.
lol the guy has completely changed how our team looks and will be looking at a serious multi year deal based on the past few weeks. Liked when he went back at the end and there was a high ball - you knew they weren't going to mark it, good players give you that confidence in them.Jon Ralph saying jones could make way for wright. Guy has no clue
moar people should be singing songsLets raise our glasses to the win!!

Should have been 8 goals up at quarter time and the whole thing is a lot less tense.
Absolutely shellacked them for the first 40 minutes everywhere but between the big sticks
watch back and see how many shots on goal the Crows had from free kicksThe non free at the end if anything should highlight how bad the umpiring was all round. Not just that 1 moment but about 15 different moments for both sides.
Free kick counts mean f all to me when the umps are just bad. Blokes go pick up the footy and it’s holding the ball. Blokes drop the footy in a tackle it’s play on. Blokes moving on the mark. Some sling tackles paid others aren’t. The list goes on and on. What’s a free kick in one passage of play isn’t in the next. The umps call it how they likeBulldogs had 21-9 +ve free kick count last night: ch7 silent. Tonight they bang on endlessly about a 50/50 decision
I agree. I hate it too, but let's not pretend Draper invented that tactic all on his own in the heat of the moment. What a ******* carry on about that. Getting the rule book out while ignoring everything leading up to it and Tex jumping on his back.
I 100% think that should be paid ball. I also know it never has been and never will be late in the game, as the poster above rightly notes re Collingwood.
Hopefully the rules change so they start paying it, as I’ve noticed Carlton doing it too
I hope the AFL say there should have been a free, make them EAD even harder.i love it how they are all focused on one umpire decision instead of being -20 Inside 50's and -8 scoring shots.
the fact they were even within a scoring shot to win is amazing.
They were utterly belted all game.
Heard a description years ago;Free kick counts me f all to me when the umps are just bad. Blokes go pick up the footy and it’s holding the ball. Blokes drop the footy in a tackle it’s play on. Blokes moving on the mark. Some sling tackles paid others aren’t. The list goes on and on. What’s a free kick in one passage of play isn’t in the next. The umps call it how they like
There were other moments as well, obviously the 50. To even put himself in that 50/50 position was beyond stupid. We saw the half time call.He fell on the ball with his big body and had 2 players on him, it's a 50/50 call.
It's easy for onlookers to say one way or the other.
We weathered eight minutes of football after Martin's goal put us to 78. Same sort of desperation that won us the Saints game. How long did we actually hold on for? Five minutes under extreme heat? Controversial finish or not, that takes some serious mental fortitude under serious pressure.
Draper is just unpredictable. He plays with a huge amount of effort and sometimes it spurs on the entire team, other times he costs us greatly. The last few weeks he has costed us greatly. I think we might see 2mp coming in for him this week. 2mp and cox to chop the ruck
