We’re such a different team with two ruckmen in the side. I like it! I don’t think we should go in with less than 2 ruckmen unless we are forced to through injuries. It’s really starting to transform our midfield

Like many, I know we need Nankervis in, but it is tough to determine who we will drop out of Chol and Soldo. One provides agility around the ground and assists in the ruck contests and the other supports Nankervis with meaningful hitouts. It’s a really good dilemma to have.

Yeah, I really like the two rucks too. I wonder what difference it might have made in the few years before 2017 if one of our other talls had come on in the way we'd hoped -- imagine what Hampson, Vickery or Griffiths playing to their potential on a regular basis might have added to our performances! How good is it to suddenly find ourselves excited about our big-man options rather than worrying about what happens if our only decent option goes down with injury? I'm loving not having to worry about our other tall options spudding it up.

As for our current options, my own take is that Dimma is pretty happy to allow the oppo ruckman to win the tap but expects our guys to prevent the oppo taking away the ball when it comes to ground. Perhaps that's a legacy of a few years of being a bit under the pump when playing against teams that perform well in the ruck?

My point, anyway, is that I suspect that Dimma might think getting around the ground is a more important asset than wining hitouts.

My personal preference is for Chol with either Soldo or Nank, but personal preference aside I still think Chol + Nank is likely to be the preferred option when all three are available.

It's nice to be in a position where I'm going to be disappointed rather than relieved when they omit one of the second tall options.

Pretty sure half are fake or hammed up.. The Kmac ones are pretty funny though!

Hearing Marbs speak he was genuine and I believe him 100%

I believe Chol deserves to be called "two phones" in the same way a guy whose 210cm deserves to be called "Titch" or a ranga deserves to be called "blue."

In other words, no way would Chol ever have two phones and I reckon that's exactly why Grigga said he does and why the rest of the guys think it's so funny.

Pie fan melting that Twitter post made headlines

Because the media are obliged to pioritize Colliwobbles public profile whereas they can post anything they want on social media?

If they hadn't posted it, nobody could have reported on it. Besides it was a tiny, tiny part of the news. This guy's acting like it made headlines for a month.

This will be an unpopular opinion here, but I think it was more just poor wording than anything else. They were more saying that us being a player down is good for them, not celebrating Cotch's injury per say.

Still though, for a professional social media page they should be choosing their words more carefully.

Tend to agree, but it's not something you say, is it?

Like when somebody tells you their mum/dad/spouse/kids are ill, you don't start your response with "the good thing about that for me is ..."

Colliwobbles done stuffed up and deserve the criticism.

*per se

Lmaooo read the first 6 pages of the pies autopsy thread...

That mod maggie or whatever "they aren't even good, we had our whole team out. A good team would have won by 10 goals minimum."

Literally every second post is the same delusional s**t saying we are crap and they would kill us if not for #pieshaveinjuries

s**t kickers
Yeah went there... gump.gif ...and read the same thing! A wobble mod leading the wobble mob for 6 solid pages of match review in how sheet Richmond are and that if not for their injured playerS it would have been a different result! And good luck with our GF win against them that night!

What happened between Gale and Whateley? Saw a few posts mention something but non of the details...

They did!

Great to see Gra-Gra return to form.
13 tackles, match record.
Excellent performance in the VFL by Oleg M.
Butler has added muscle too.
Good to see pressure for spots.
Never jinx a result by saying we would smash opposition sides, only provides grist for the mill and inspires them to be better.
Better to be low-profile and talk up the opposition, like Dimma did at the presser.

The Count giving Tom Lynch the 2nd best player.

Congratulations to Bruce McAvaney for another shameless performance in the commentary box, heaping copious amounts of undue praise on Dustin Martin for a totally mediocre game. Martin did the same thing he does week in, week out - kicked a couple of goals, racked up most of his possessions with trivial handballs, with the remainder coming from wasted kicks that turned the ball over. But that didn't stop Bruce and co. cuming in their pants acting like Martin is god's gift to football and reminding us every five minutes that Dusty gets the 3 votes! Meanwhile Dylan Grimes plays a blinder, absolutely resolute and rock-solid in defense all night, only to win half as much praise as Dusty. Someone in authority needs to tell these fools to start commentating properly and giving credit where it's due, and shift their focus away from Dustin Martin.

I don't know if it's true what Wayne Carey said that Grimes probably won't get a brownlow vote (despite him being the best player on that ground by a country mile), but if it's true then the brownlow medal is quite meaningless.

Quality melt

Likelihood is we get a first round MCG final if we finish 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th or 6th......i like those odds.
We'll win our remaining games and finish 3rd, lol.
