Lynch simply plays. Our forward line is shocking without him, Dimma will try and put Nank and Miller there a lot. Its not going to work, you can play through a groin injury, kicking can be tough though. We aren't beating anyone without him, Jack as the number 1 forward hasn't looked like working.

The problem with Essendon is similar to what Carlton used to have. That is it's a boy's club that is run by coterie and past (it) champions.

You can see it with after missing out on Clarkson there is an influential element pushing for the return of James Hird. They even still have an old dinosaur in Sheedy having a massive say in how the club is run.

They are too caught up on the romantism of a past great messiah complex that they look at past greats with rise coloured glasses, but if you are not a "Essendon person" you are kicked out as soon as something goes wrong.
