Tyler Sonsie not getting enough love for his game tonight.

The kids had 4 scoring shots and a monster 14 scoring involvements from 19 touches!!

That’s insane.

As soon as Hurley kicked his goal I was hoping for a quick reply from a young player of the future who has years ahead of him without the family in the box making out it was a huge moment.

Hello Sonsie.

I seriously cannnot go back to being a shit team. Chairing Cousins off with a heroes send off were just such sad days. It makes me sad to see a club holding on to that stuff.

Unfortunately I only remember the two turnovers from taking the ambitious option

I recall in 2017 we went on a scoring spree a few weeks before finals regularly cracking 100 + points a game. Not saying it will end the same for us but does feel like Deja Vu. Go Tiges

Also happened to have a period of losing like 3 or 4 games by under a goal that year as well

At the ground most of the people clapping him off were tiges supporters, most of the bombers supporters had already left

Good win tonight, ripping 3Q again, confident big Tom will be cherry ripe in a fortnight. Class effort sending Hurley off the way we did. :thumbsu:

Meatball and Cotch dominant again, Short was great and is steadily improving in the middle - so important that he's in there learning with the best while he can. Nank and Draper had an entertaining duel and probably halved the points, reckon it was Ross' best senior game tonight, fair bit to like about his progression through the year.

Rioli and Vlas great again among a very solid defensive group.

Really liked seeing how well the two extremes of the list are traveling - neither the vets in their last games or the kids in their first games look in the least bit tired, every single player looks fit, fresh and hungry and we've got plenty of depth returning and available.

Enjoy the week off lads, next time you run out it will be Spring and the whiff of salt from outside 'our four walls' will be heavier than ever. :thumbsu::richmond:

The problem with Essendon is similar to what Carlton used to have. That is it's a boy's club that is run by coterie and past (it) champions.

You can see it with after missing out on Clarkson there is an influential element pushing for the return of James Hird. They even still have an old dinosaur in Sheedy having a massive say in how the club is run.

They are too caught up on the romantism of a past great messiah complex that they look at past greats with rise coloured glasses, but if you are not a "Essendon person" you are kicked out as soon as something goes wrong.
Completely agree. Their new president was adamant that anyone in his position would have given Clarko a call. But I disagree. This is typical Essendon arrogance and where they've gone wrong time and time again. All they had to do was stick it out and see what happens. Give him another 3 years and let it play out properly.

Instead they've burnt bridges with their current coach and exposed the fact Sheedy is still agitating and not in sync with the rest of the Hanger.

Not to mention they'll be lucky to attract a Bush League coach now, the industry will be wary.

Someone’s unfortunately gonna have to miss the elim when the goat comes back
