Everyone of our midfielders is 4 inches to short and 6-7 kgs to light. Can’t use injuries as an excuse. Elite teams cover their injured players. We are not an elite team, certainly better run than we were in the past but not elite. The much vaunted coaching panel has been exposed a bit too. Tired of opposition players playing their best games against us, today it’s Whitfield, previously it’s Sidebottom, the list goes on. Graham was poor today, put him on Whitfield, you’re not getting much out of Graham anyway. Biggest issue I see is the midfield, they have inferior disposal skills to other teams. Cotchin who I am a fan of, Prestia, Lambert do not hit targets regularly enough and just turn the ball over setting up scores for the opposition. Then there are some poorly skilled players who are not worthy of playing in a top 8 AFL team, Castagna, Ellis, Markov, Butler, they’ve all been around for a while, they won’t get better, had enough of all of them, play some kids.

How shit was the commentry today? I usually like Huddo but he was blatantly barracking for GWS today.
That "Cop that Astbury!" was pathetically unprofessional.
just gonna be one of those years. It’s why you have to nail those flags when you’re right there at the coal face. Last year a missed opportunity.
Out: Short (inj.), Ellis, Markov, Butler, Castagna
In: Grimes, Houli, Caddy, Ross, Bolton.

Hopefully < monthhow many weeks out for Short?
Not many are. But at least he showed a bit today. He was but he's nowhere near 2017/18 form either...
Have to be 4 - 6 weeks ....looked pretty badhow many weeks out for Short?
Great team
That’s insanely better on paper lol
Castagne and Butler are premiership players, they are not the problem.
Despite a half dozen or more experienced coaches and a leadership group etc we are basically clueless when it comes to helping a key midfielder deal with a tag. Happened to Lids and Cotch a lot 2013-15. Martin could be sent to tag an opposition mid?? Our plan B is send him to FF. Here's a tip. It's not working Coaches, wake up! I expect much better from Martin and co

How do you know that was the tactic? Or was that just what the players were doing?
Players have minds of their own.
