Definitely not knocking the effort. Midfield well on top of supposedly the strongest Weagles outfit all year, absolute demolition job in every possible facet from defence to centre clearance to forward. Just so much left on the table!

I love that we are back to being a side that can win by 10 goals on the road but still kind of disappoint. That really was a 100 point win for the taking. West Coast were absolutely woeful and that’s as dominant as we have been in the midfield and down back in about 9 years. Poor ball use going forward and when shooting the goal the only reasons it wasn’t a monster percentage booster.

The Meek Newk Worpel Day combination dominated all day.

That's a bunch of hard nosed, powerful units

Not one of them would take a backwards step or look for a cheap possession out the back.

Worps in particular was great today, he bullied the West Coast midfield.

And you can tell that having a big, physical ruck like Meek throwing his (not inconsiderable) weight around in the middle makes the other boys stand taller.

Want to highlight Macdonald though. Since missing that Collingwood goal he's become the guy who always seems to kick the goals we need, when we need them. Love watching him and our other forwards cover the ground, he and Moore were outstanding today. Ginnivan also very good but another instance where inefficiency hurt him. Ginni would be close to an AA jumper this year if he was just a little bit smarter with some of his decisions.

A great win away - very impressed with moore, ginnivan and mcdonal as our half forwards - there work rate is amazing.
Absolutely demolished them in the midfield, just need to improve the conversion rate.

Really impressed how the midfield took out the outlets from their midfield. Even when not denting first use.

For Geelong we need to watch the scores from turnovers when pressing. Weagles had a few dangerous looking turnovers, but managed to screw most of them up

Geelong we need to watch the long kick into 50. For starters it's geelongs bread and butter to cut that off.
Then, onto of that, the game is all system based now, with the bailout a kick from the wing inside 50. At Geelong though, the longer ground means that kick is going to 45m instead of 25

I know Eagles extra woeful today, but it’s still great to travel across the continent and win an away game by 10 goals. I’m pleased we got the job done, and got ourselves a convincing 10 goal win.

I’m pretty sure Harley Reid was back today after this 2 week suspension. Glazing of Daicos proportions. Never seen a first year player with more tickets on themselves.

Very complete performance other than conversion. Mitch Lewis back next week will reduce the intercept marks as Dear was seriously out pointed by a star defender which is understandable.

Newk, Nash, Worpel and Day were superb with some great service from Meek and a cameo effort from Frenchie. Moore outstanding, Croc another strong game and CJ’s best game since returning.

Amon, Impey and Sic did as they pleased again and the defence looked incredibly solid.

Could’ve been a bigger margin but a break through interstate win after a few close run things the last 2 seasons.

Hopefully Sicily good to play next week as well need him against Cameron and co.
