Sitting in the media box watching the game today.
Things that have stood out so far to the third quarter time break:

• Sicily playing as a last line of defence doesn't work - Geelong were always going to be playing a tall forward line - we took the risk but Henry has pantsed him today.
• Amon at half back can not defend - missed easy tackles, his opponent in the first quarter was Brad Close who was involved in lots of things.
• Sam Frost plays with a shitload of heart and determination - Hawkins has kicked a few but Frost has battled manfully in defence.
• Lloyd Meek has given us something in the ruck that we haven't had for a while - he competes and competes. Has battled against 3 opponents from the Cats in the ruck at different times
• Nash and Worpel have both had a red hot crack - tackles and clearances - in the second quarter Nash was using his body to create space for the likes of Frenchie and Worpel to get the ball going forward.
• Breust missing that sitter in the first quarter deflated the team massively and Geelong kick 3 easy ones to blow the score out to 36.
• Chol has looked our most likely key forward today but also all season - Lewis nowhere near it at the moment which is sad to see.
• Massimo D'Ambrosio can hold his head up - at times he has thrown his body into contests that others have shirked at
• Wiz's defensive pressure has been a highlight for him - stopped a certain Cameron goal in the second quarter and just continues to harrass.
• Newcombe has regressed, but as we know with progression, it is not always linear.
• Frenchie has had some good moments today - he's coming along well.

Bruest was super selfish.

He had a Hawks player all alone in the goal square, he could have easily popped it over to him for a certain goal.

One of the worst passages of play you are likely to see.

I didn't see it but I have questions about both McDonald and Ward at this stage.

There are too many players at present who are not earning their keep. Too many want easy ball and then stuff it when they get it.

And we also have too many momentum killers in our team who do the stupidest things and sap all the confidence of their teammates. Really low footy IQ stuff.

Starting with the skipper. Impey. Amon. Breust. Lewis. The common theme is they represent all the ‘experience’ of this side. Putrid. Simple.

People have a go at Frost. And rightly so when it is warranted. It is time for Sam Mitchell to drop at least a few of the older blokes. If he doesn’t he better get ready for the supporter heat that is brewing

Yep I've said it a few times this game. it looks like we are throwing an extra number at the drop of the ball and it's bobbling to their outside players, who then have free men. We are either over hyped to get ball, not defensive minded or don't trust out team mates to make a decent contest one on one.

Lots of old bodies on geelong that have been battered this game, our boys NEED to send a message before next week

Newk looking one paced is concerning. So explosive last year but no burst from stoppages at all this year. Hasn’t Day left a massive void in our midfield. We need an injection of pace starting with S Mitchell next week and hopefully CJ and Daisy can get back to their electric best in the 2nd half of the season. Right now we are lacking that excitement factor!!

Problem was he did it twice in a row.
a minute earlier he took the shot instead of chipping over to Lewis and it ended up touched.
Then the disaster play where he got lost, slipped over and just lost the contest totally
