Really looking forward to seeing Matty Flynn play this weekend. Underrated pickup if he can get healthy and find some form. Offers us something different in the ruck, albeit BBW and Jack Williams have battled well for the most part in his abscence.
Teams ranked by hitout differential. Yuk. Bring on Flynn.

Excellent stat that shows how bad we are in this regard and how good Harley and Yeo are despite this. Only a small sample size but have a look where Flynn sits in HO and more importantly HO to advantage last year where he was equal 4th in the comp for rucks. Harley is going to eat that s**t up and go to another level when he knows the ruck is almost a 50% to win the hitout and is equal 4th in the comp for % HO to advantage. Has Witts, English, Grundy, Briggs, Gawn all covered.

Can’t wait to see Flynn feeding our mids, going to be a game changer don’t agree with any of the pessimism of how much of an impact he’s going to have.

Decent news on the injury front with only Long, Hewett and Bazzo expected to still be unavailable after the bye (R14) although Allen probably plays at least one WAFL game before coming into the seniors

We also now have a timeline (6-8 weeks) for Hewett which would see him back by around R20.

On the not so good news Bazzo remains bogged on 4-5 weeks

Petruccelle, Jamieson and Barnett all expected to be available this week. Witherden might also be available

Luke Edwards with a concussion that’ll see him miss a week or two

Between r18 and r20 assuming no set-backs is very good news. Gets him some football either WAFL or AFL before the end of the season and can go into 2025 hopefully with a good base to work from.

A month of footy at any level for Hewett would be fantastic, and a good carrot for him to hit the rehab hard.

Really, really cannot wait to see the three young mids paired up, after Reid and Ginbey have more games and another preseason under their belt.

So good to have so few on the I jury list for a change.
Feels like we've turned a corner.

So Hewett is expected to be back by round 18 to round 20 (6-8 weeks).
That will give him 5-7 games.
Not bad at all tbh.

All the talk of Allen bulking up and looking heavy, he looks totally fine there. Probably expected he’d be in the gym a bit more with an injury that requires him off his legs. But now that he’s ramping up his training he’s shedding a fair bit of it.

One thing I’ve also noticed with JK and JD is that both blokes at the mid to late point of their career was that they both got bigger around their mid 20’s. Jk’s was a bit later in his career after simmo arrived.

Schoey saying on shelter Loosh is a chance to miss the rest of the season

Didn’t he say something similar last time Waterman was out?

He was in concussion protocols but Schoey reckoned his hammy would keep him out longer or something like that?

He pretty much said they would try and play him and just hope his shoulder doesn't pop out.

If it keeps popping out, then he will go for season ending surgery.
So it's pretty much a wait and see I think.

Not a great injury when you rely on your marking.
