I will put it simply like this.

If we play like we did tonight, we will lose our next 3 games in a row and go 8-7. Very simple.

Need a huge lifr

If we play the first half like we did the second, we beat the Tuggers 20 goals to 6. The Tuggers may be shit, but four quarters of that would surely beat GWS, Port, Melbourne, and at least be competitive against the Swans.

Thought Mullin kept showing a bit, took a step back by being a bit tentative tonight and caught out of position but that will happen. Still did some nice things and he has an incredible ability to turn on the spot. Guy will be a gun, playing in the twos won’t help him, has to learn in the big league and he’s developing well
Athletically he's great, still doesn't kick it when he needs to. I'm rooting for him but it's hard to carry a dude that doesn't want to kick the footy. Could be damaging with his speed if he ran forward and kicked it but he doesn't seem to want to take that on yet. Think a spell in the vfl would do him good.

Tigers were playing extremely high pressure footy in the first half.

It wouldn't matter who we were playing, with that sort of pressure, it's unlikely to have a high scoring outcome for us. But it's unsustainable, particularly for a young side, which is why we improved in the second half.

If Sydney bring that pressure again next week, we will struggle again. But again, it's unsustainable, even for them.

I actually think we are a sneaky chance for an upset.

You’re being very dramatic and emotional. Nobody is crying like a child or that unhappy.

If you can’t handle reasonable criticism of the side, then maybe knitting is more your go as well.

Believe it or not, but you can play crap footy and win.. Especially against the second worst side in the AFL.
Who beat the top side and lost to the second-placed side by 12 points.

Go and have a look at the game stats.

It was an absolute flogging, more like a 10 goal win than 5. Certainly not worth carrying on like a tool and throwing around words like “crap footy”.

But hey, you can “enjoy” the game any way you want.

This game kept the questions coming for me but the biggest question I have is; do Richmond supporters boo Prestia's hamstrings as much as they boo Stewart since those things have caused the human meatball to miss way more footy than Stewart's hit did.

I’ve been waiting all season for Dempsey to fall away - if anything he’s just getting better each week and has become a very important player for our structure. Rather incredible!

30 points is about right for a Richmond side completely decimated. First half was ordinary but the second half was good as we can build on it.

IN next week - Danger, Clark, Blitz and Stanley

Out - Mullen, Zac T, Conway, Neale

Voted MVP tonight.

Without wanting to get too autobiographical (yeah right); for reasons I moved from Footy's Heartland in inner Melbourne to FNQ around 6 seasons ago now.

It's been a cultural adjustment in terms of the reach of Aussie Rules - but it has not been a disheartening experience by any means; there is an AFL presence up here.

Jack Bowes played for a club up here in the same suburb that myself and my family now reside, the somewhat infamous Manunda.

I've followed Bowes career reasonably closely.
I've never been wholly convinced; but there is no doubt he has the kind of talent that shines like a beacon to other kids up in the Far North.

My kid has started playing up here over the past couple of seasons, and there are one or two other kids that you see kicking around that are clearly under-consideration for an AFL pathway.

I felt he kicked a bit more a few weeks ago & some absolute rippers too. Probably gets notes from the coaches and over corrects. I think with him it will be 2 steps forward 1 step back. He’s a mature player who has the skills, just needs to learn in by playing in the pace of the AFL. Unless he starts having a negative effect on the team, I’d keep on playing him.
