Like Parker’s attack on the footy and he seems to have good pace and sticky hands. Understandably he’s looked a little lost at times, but probably a matter of learning structures and game plan.

Yeah, after such a long break from the game, his attack was impressive.

The bloke has been relentlessly abused this year. It's obviously a confidence thing. Why do you think he's so far off what's he's capable of?

I just don't see the point in continually going on about it. It's not sensitivity. I don't see what anyone gets out of constantly saying the bloke is not playing to the standard we know he can...when we all know why. LACK OF CONFIDENCE.

• Johnson leads backwards too much for mine, or at the back of the pack looking for a hanger.

Needs to play in front and continually lead up at the ball. Again and again. All over the ground.

There was a piece of play on HFF where he had to go for a ball in dispute and left it too late / didn't go hard enough
I think he skirts packs too much - but perhaps that instruction and he's meant to be the outlet. Get some urgency, Ed.

I don't want to place too much emphasis on this because I have no real idea what's going on, but the week he had a shocker in his most recent AFL game, I believe Ash suffered some truly awful social media abuse.
This could well have really shaken him badly enough to really mess him up.
