Very exciting to see Draper in Crows colours. Love his reaction in the video above to what it'd be like to run out on to Adelaide Oval in front of a full house. Genuine! Looks like the type of character that will embrace the challenge too and may take some pressure off the likes of Thilthorpe and Rachele who can hopefully go about their business. Someone earlier in this thread mentioned he be given the number 9 and I think that would be entirely appropriate. Good luck to him!

First player the Crows men have selected from South Adelaide since James Turner & Rhys Archard in the 2006 Rookie Draft 😮
Are you forgetting Cook in 2020?

That "targeting Round 1" talk would have gone down like a lead balloon internally.

Absolutely, great point.

Nicks and co would never give a new draftee a spot in the team round 1, you know apart from doing it with McCasey, Berry, Rowe, Rachele, Soligo, and Max.

Thats only 6 new draftees in 5 years getting a game round 1.

I can understand that it’s probably a bit of recency bias with the Curtin situation, but I have no doubt Sid can (and should) play R1

New draftees getting a game Rd 1 is definitely not a concern with Nicks as proven by his track record over the past 5 years.

Some of the older and more jaded posters are still stuck in the Neil Craig era.
