That's really a tough one isn't it. Heeney oozes class, but Gulden is pure fundamentals with a fair bit of class himself.

I'm just glad we have both. And throw in the Chad for good measure!!

Clearances:

Adams 2
Chad 2
McI 3
Heeney 5
Grundy 9
Errol 10

But it’s Rowy with 11 that is the clearance king!

Yet another superb, but underrated game by Rowy.

Disagree… was poor early on. …kicking out on the full giving up possession … not laying tackles

But all he does is tackle because he's second to the ball all the time.
His clearance work week after week has gone up a serious level this year. Always loved how he plays the game, but he is taking a big step forward there.

His hassling and harrying and tackling without it is amazing to watch as well. He is every bit as important to our team as Grundy or McCartin down back - someone we can not afford to lose at all to injury.

whats annoying is we'll probably fly into the GF and then get pumped by a victorian team like Collingwood or Carlton on the MCG in front of 100k victorian fans. Again.
It will always be a risk.

But week on week - my confidence grows that this team is different to even our very best teams over the past 2 decades.

A long, long way to go yet - but I don't think it'll be a case of scared little cygnets like 2022 if we are there when it matters. The confidence in this group is something else.

There's obviously a tonne of positives but I was pretty disappointed with chad tonight. Played a very selfish game, blazing away, ignoring teammates and seems more interested In taking players on and looking for contact rather than making the team play.

Another negative was Campbell's game. Can't fault his effort, but he really lost all composure tonight. Every one of his kicks seemed to be a dump kick. Severely down on confidence

While I hope in big games at the end of the season, we don't give teams such a great start. But the confidence our group must has in knowing we can come over the top of teams, and do it quickly, is something else. When we start piling on the points - they come quickly to say the least.
OK I’m formulating a theory (percentage of real world, verifiable evidence: between zero and zero) -

I think it’s deliberate. I think it’s the ultimate headf*** play from Horse. In fact I think it’s genius.

Everyone knows the only thing that matters is who’s ahead at the final siren.

Our opposition knows that.

And Horse knows they know that.

So I think we’re saying “Sure. Win the first quarter. Heck, win the first half. Go wild. Have a ball. Because… here’s the thing: you know we’re going to win the second half. We are going to be ahead when the final siren goes. Us. Not you.”

Interesting fans keep saying

Sydney have to get it done in Melbourne, but are the same fans who tell you we have every advantage.

So we get everything, finish top and by their own admission face a massive challenge ? but thats not a disadvantage.
Excellent point. I feel we should be responding by calling that out:think: I wonder how they will respond...oh who am I kidding.

Like i said do you take the good with the bad with Chad(aka his ability to kick 55-60m goals on the run) its quite a difficult balance

I felt like we picked Campbell but played him in a spot that suits Roberts more.

Not going to lie i don't know if it has been said already but you should all go back and read the in game thread from about page 26-27 onwards as it is just pure funny to see the complete flip. Was a run of 63-1 in the space of 34 minutes time on
