To put it in perspective:

Jacob Surjan, who bleeds Port Adelaide and has been one of our most consistent and best players in our down years, playing his heart out and being one of the best small defenders in the comp, has been delisted from Port Adelaide.

Danielle Stewart, who has done absolutely nothing but spud it up and never look like he's even trying, is still on the list.

Not concerned about Banner really but Surj is a big shock. Dont understand it at all.

I wouldnt assume thats all the delistings either. I'd still say Hitchy and Logan might go.

Unfortunately not surprised that Banner copped the banzhammer especially with how he was treated late last year

I think some of this might come down to attitude around the club. Logan, from all accounts is just one of those guys who makes a club better, regardless of playing ability. I never really got that about Surj.

We're going to be picking heavily from this year's draft, I don't know why we would flat out delist a player like Surjan without shopping him around and getting a third or even a fourth rounder for him.

I don't have an issue with those delistings in isolation, but when I combine them with some of those players that remain on our list is when I find myself thinking I must be 12.

Cos no way would any football club delist ANY of those other *guys and keep him....right?

this is seriously a ****ed situation. I think Suj MUST have some physical issues (which we have no idea about) which must be stopping him from playing. it is the ONLY reason i could see for them to get rid of him.

As members (most of us, presumably), we should surely have the right to hear WHY certain players were delisted. Surjan being shown the door is a joke. I could list a handful of players that should go before him.

Ah well, question is how do we replace them all.

So far, assuming that Jonas is upgraded, we have 9 outs (Rodan, Surjan, Pearce, Chaplin, Jacobs, Salopek, Banner, Phillips, McCarthy) and 2 in (Monfries, Jonas). At least seven new faces on the senior list next year.

We wanted change - looks like we'll get it.
