Sam Petresvski Seton is on the list of unsigned Eagles that Kornes said shouldn't be resigned. Is he really that far off it or is that just another shock jock Kane-ism?

Not saying we should grab him, just that I didn't think a former pick 6, 25 year old with 120+ games experience is an obvious list casualty for a team/List thats as low down as West Coast.
He looks bog average

Is Mabior Chol[ worth a look at by the Crows. He kicked 44 goals for the Suns in 2022, only managed eight senior games this season. He is looking for greener pastures although he has 2 years left on his contract.

If he comes with pick 4, then sure....

Much better than Himmelberg. Not a high bar but Chol would be worth a consideration.

For those interested, here’s a list of the top 15 Key Defenders according to the AFL Player Ratings, and also what their current clubs got them for:

D. Moore - Pick 9

H. Andrews - Pick 61

S. Taylor - Pick 28

J. Weitering - Pick 1

S. May - traded for Pick 6

C. Wilkie - Rookie Draft

J. Lever - traded for two late 1sts

A. Aliir - traded for 2nd round pick

N. Balta - Pick 25

T. Barass - Pick 43

B. Cox - Pick 41

C. Ballard - Pick 42

B. Hardwick - Pick 44

J. Buckley - Rookie Draft

J. McGovern - Rookie Draft

So 4 of the top 7 cost their clubs first round picks, but the rest cost the clubs next to nothing really…
Would be interesting to compare to thr top ranked key forwards & midfielders.

can you do the same for forwards?

Anything in the rumour that we sign Crouch on a decent contract then trade him and pay his salary?

M.Rucci said Port were looking at something similar for one of their players last week.

This clearly only works when getting a good player back, and serves to reduce the pick required (take on salary instead of a high pick).

Yeah I can’t see it

Unless that Hayward rumour is somehow true

I think the issue here (like forwards) is that apart from those standouts, you regularly have to invest time and energy developing them.

Surely this is against the rules.

Would be a staggeringly good move for us.
For Sydney? Not so sure. They lose Franklin's $$ from their salary cap, so would they really need much cap relief?

Depends on how much they are offering MacKay, and are they targeting a big forward again (Sydney needs a marquee forward, it's been their model for since Cappa - Lockett - Tippet (lol) - Buddy).

I guess for the preverbial dominoes to fall MacKay has to go to Sydney.

Maybe his brother's on the outer at Carlton and needs to go too?

I am shocked that he’s played so many games. Hard pass for me

I’d love us to target Milera-Wanganeen from saints, he will be an amazing get. Would out first this year get it done??
