My impression of Will has always been that he seems like someone who’d rather be in Sydney or Melbourne. Get Grundy vibes from him re: preferred lifestyle and off field opportunities. Could be wrong, but I’d be very surprised if he came here this year or the next. If we really wanted him and it’s reciprocal, wisest thing would be to wait till next year, no?

Having a medium marking forward like him in the side does add to the unpredictability of our forward line, rather than just talls and smalls. Plus it allows guys like Rash, Peds, Rankine to push up the ground more if needed

But ultimately I’m not sure it’s the best use of draft capital, given he’d cost our first in-contract

But if he comes and is a full time half forward, it has to free up those 3 to play more midfield and that in itself would go a way towards solving our midfield woes and lack of star factor there outside of Jordan Dawson
