Look, I get that we are thin on KPDs atm with Murray and Butts injured, but that is no excuse to waste Curtin in this role. Just use Madgen for that. Get another top up to fill the role, we know that our KPD stocks are fine now with Keane developing well.

What happened to Himmelberg and Burgess being able to play down back?

Like how ******* good was that from curtin?

Get him around the ball!!!

******* idiot coaches
Yep, any glimpse you get he does something good. Really neat little underground handball there on the boundary. The guy has supreme talent and has shown he can play midfield. Fitness couldn't be the issue given he is very diligent with diet and does Muay Thai.

Another option is to use Burgess down back.

Wasn’t the plan for Himmelberg to develop as a CHB preseason?

That didn’t last long at all.

Should be Magden at FB, Himmelberg CHB, Burgess CHF, Murray FF/2nd ruck and Curtin on the wing.

It’s not that 🤬 hard!

We have Welsh up forward as well, no idea why Himmelberg has suddenly moved there again after trying him for one game in defence.

Me thinks the issue might be that we have the dumbest group of coaches in the comp. And that includes the sanfl level coaches too (ours and opposition)

Atleast Strachan uses the ball ok and is of use at ground level.

Am baffled how ROb is seen as a clear #1 ahead of him
ROB dominates SANFL level a lot more than Strachan. Honestly, we need to get another ruck, Strachan aint the answer either. There are plenty floating around at the end of every season for cheap.

Its obvious we're trying to let him learn to defend. I think at AFL level, its time for him to play Smiths role but even smith still had to defend one on one contests all the time.
He grew up playing as a defender, that was never going to be a problem. His offensive weapons and ability to play as a mid are why he was such a valuable draft commodity last year. There is zero development in having him destroyed by the best KPF in the SANFL.

I’m at the game. From ground level it just looks like it’s a mixture of poor skills, particularly with our top ups, and poor work rate/fitness, some of that our top ups too. Schoenberg lively in moments.
It’s the same issue with our AFL side though, not working to support the drop of the ball, or each other around the stoppages. Nicks keeps talking about us only bringing energy in some quarters, and that’s obvious to see. There’s no consistency across either teams.
Oscar Ryan not bad. Curtin playing Full Back. Laughable for anyone to suggest him playing on McBean isn’t anything but a pretty standard opportunity for him to build his 1-1 defensive skills. Move on. (That being said, wouldn’t mind giving him a crack literally anywhere for a Q or two)

One thing he needs no development in is his ground work, and being able to accelerate away whilst wheeling around other players. Always looking to attack, and has great sense in where the ball is going to be, or where it’s going to drop.

Crows thinking.
Lets reinforce our focus on his weaknesses instead of building on his strengths
