I wish the coaches would just pick the players who have the most talent and build the next premiership side around them for fu**s sake. Darcy Fogarty has more talent in his little finger than Frampton and Berg combined and yet for literally no logical reason we seem to throw him in and out. Frampton is not an AFL footballer, he never has been and that was clear as day after a few games with us. Why the coaching panel continue to throw games at these people boggles the mind.

I have no issues with us finishing bottom 2 this year, but what I take issue with is the sh*t selection and side that gets us there. We are waisting time and energy on players who are not up to it and not building a team with a core group of young players. I'm fed up of it.

I am of a similar position. We have 6 games remaining for the year. We should be selecting senior players that are performing (even reasonably well) and are still part of our future or at least part of developing our future. Smith, Laird, Seedsman, Brown, Keays come to mind. We must have some of these guys in the team. However senior players that are not part of our future they need to be moved on and not picked again this year. Obviously MacKay is one Frampton is another. The rest of team should be the players that are developing regardless of how they are performing. Make the investment and stick to it. So players like Pedlar, Worrall, Schoenberg, TT, Hamill, Berry, Fog, Scholl, Butts, get a game regardless.

No point in trying to win games by playing some of the more experienced players that wont be around at the end of the season. Play our future and get games into them. Try other youngsters like Cook, Borlase, Gollant even NewChurch. We need to move forward.

Melbourne went early on Pickett and they should be congratulated for that.

Pickett was much more highly regarded pre draft. I remember reading loads about him being a top 10, so your really not accurate there.

McAsey was regarded higher than Pickett pre-draft, so there’s a bit of hindsight in your thinking here

But yeah, I’d kill to have Pickett instead of McAsey right now, particularly with how Butts and now Murray are coming along

It reinforces the fact that there's no need to spend top tier draft picks on key position defenders.....

Why did we leave pedlar and berry to rot in the forward line when they could not get a kick and our mids were getting thumped. Surely this was an opportunity to give them some time experimenting the midfield next to some more experienced heads. It is now time to think of 2022 not this year

Unpopular opinion but I reckon Frampton stays in and we play him as our third tall down back due to match-ups (Kennedy, Darling, Allen). Kelly playing as a tall defender gives me no confidence, McAsey is definitely not ready.

Cook, Gollant would be monstered by the Eagles backline.

So what… As long he can help the younger players develop for next season. The last part of the season will be very bad performances and good performances but nothing in the middle. Last nights game should nothing to worry about. It’s only worry if the crows play like that every week to finish off the season.
