Reasonably common path to tread for taller blokes.

Luke Lowden was on AFL lists for 8 years for one game (against us - 3 goals, which is how I remember him). No midfielder is going to go down that route.

If you're lucky enough to be 200cm+ you've got a much better chance of getting on AFL list than your average Joe.
never heard of luke lowden.

Played 1 game for haw v us

12 possies 3 goals and 15 hit outs.

Bloody stiff to not get another crack at it.

With Langdon, we'd have 2 players in the forward line who are slow and can't kick.

Unless Hutch is tagging someone, he shouldnt be playing IMO.
Hutchings doesn't have an issue kicking for goal, at least. :p

He's smart enough to play a role and help us defend the corridor from quick rebounds. Can be moved to mid tag then if it's necessary.

Winder just isn't ready and Petch has concerns with his hammies. Ideally I don't want Hutchings near the 22, but forward stocks are a bit low right now.

Winder, would be good to get more games into him too though.

I’m hoping Hutch gets put on Taylor Adams. He’s the only mid worth worrying about with Pendles out of action

I can't believe we are in round 20 or whatever it is having to beat Collingwood to stay in the finals race. Just a season where we never got going. I'm an eternal optimist though and I still think that if the moon and stars align we could go pretty deep if we find top form in the last month of the season.

Rumours are Adams won't play / would be playing injured.

"Taylor Adams (eye) - Available for selection

Poked in the eye and had blurred vision for a period of 10 minutes in the game against Port Adelaide. All cleared and is available for selection."

If we're legit, we beat the Pies comfortably. Not scared about those 6 names that could come in for them. Big changes don't always help anyway.

If we lose, then it becomes even clearer where we are at as a team. Starts to shape our direction for 2022.

Bit of a win, win in some ways.

Biggest issue now is how we replace Ryan.

Only forward available is Winder (I’ve put a line through Petch for this week), and he wouldn’t otherwise be talked about for selection, while there’s players in other positions doing their best to bang the door down (Foley, Witherden, Brander, Nelson etc).

So do we go with the best forward available, or try to put a square peg in a round hole?

Brander replaces Allen forward. It's actually his best position.

Petro was a precaution out. So he comes in for Ryan.

Who backup rucks? Gov did it for a half and blew up. Plus when he went into the ruck Allen had to go back.

Exact comment was “we’ll see how he progresses through training this week”. Not guaranteed to get through, and given this is the third time this season he’s had hammy issues I’d be extra cautious.

Almost a season defining.....line in the sand game.......

Again. ;) :thumbsu:

Brander stiff to not be an emergency IMO.

Not sure who I'd want to be the emergency this week? Hutch or Foley maybe? Nelson would have been good...

I think withers needs another game at wafl level to show his groin is ok.

Id go Hutchings.

Let the younger players play WAFL this weekend because they might be locked out of next weeks WAFL game with the quarantine thing for when we cone back?
