From Twitter, the Crows say Seedsman is fine for Saturday (minor cork) and all of Lynch, Laird, Sloane and Brown got through main training. Gibson did not.

So:

Out: Gibson (hamstring), Betts (hamstring), Cheney, Otten, Wilson
In: Sloane, Murphy, Brown, Lynch, Laird

Only problem for us is we don't have a tall forward outside of Gov who can take an overhead grab! Their Gov will have a field day!

If Gov goes to Tex (which is most likely), then we push Tex up the ground and lead Jeremy away from our 50 for our other forwards to feast on. Need to try and remove their best defender and aerial threat from the 50 as much as possible, meanwhile Tex is still damaging around the ground with his field kick + game sense, and a set shot threat at 50m+.

This. Atkins and Mackay survive yet again.

Seedsman is a huge loss.

We have been getting rogered on the outside over recent games and only The SEED has shown any resistance.

We really need Gibson to be fit enough to play and he can sit on Gaffs arse all match.

Will we have a flashback to three years ago with Mackay trotting behind Gaff, keeping a count of his numerous possessions?
The Seed hasn't shown much resistance on the outside over the last month either. Not his fault - he's clearly been carrying an injury since the Bulldogs game (R9). We haven't seen him run & carry since then, it's just been get ball, kick ball as far as he possibly can. Once again, not his fault - he's been forced to play while clearly carrying a leg injury.

I'd say there's an extremely high probability of this being the way we line up.

Really think if they really did do player reviews over the bye then one of Atkins or Mackay should be playing SANFL this week.

The issue is we are truly at the bottom of our outside depth at this point in time, especially if Seedsman is gone.

Those two by virtue of our extensive injury list are completely safe.

He has been a huge loss since he got injured a few weeks back. Its probably no coincidence that we have lost the last 4 and he looks like he was injured for the last 4. I though that Seeds & Gibbs carried us to 6 wins along with CEY and Greenwood. All four of these have dropped away, but Seeds has looked injured for a while.

Happy with that, though Hampton should also come in for Betts given one of the few that has stood out in the sanfl.

Whoever Gov picks up should drag him out of the middle if defence, as with Barrass also out, they look vulnerable if we can nullify the influence of Gov.

Hey Adelaide fans,

So with Laird, Sloane, Brown and Lynch to come back in, does that mean you're now missing 5 out of your B22 (Brad Crouch, Betts, Knight, Smith and McGovern)? Also, would you say your midfield is near full strength now?

Brown probably wont play. We also have guys that are underdone or carrying injuries. Sloane in particular will be ridiculously under done and not match fit. Tex is not match fit. Seedsman is carrying something. Jacobs is struggling badly. Whatever, we look like on paper, it might be deceiving. Having said that, I have vowed to back us in for every game for the rest of the season. Crows by 6 points :)

Getting kinda worried about this game given your ins. We're missing about 75% of our spine while you get key playmakers in Lynch/Laird back. We'll probably tag one of Gibbs or Matt Crouch, so that should free Sloane up a bit in the middle.

Hopefully we'll be able to kick a winning score given our outs.

Our team looks better on paper but we are still missing four of our best twelve players, including two of our best three forwards. Riley Knight is a best 22 player but less influential than the others (a bit like Le Cras for you).

Our main problem is that half our team lacks match fitness, in addition to (hopefully) the four returning players Walker, Matty Crouch, Greenwood and Seedsman (if he plays) are all well below peak fitness.

I am always quietly confident because in there somewhere hidden away is a good team. Maybe the team that we are going to put out this week wouldn't have taken us to the GF last year, but it was certainly capable of playing much, much better than we have for the last 4 weeks. The effort and basics just haven't been there. Skills and decision making from good players have been shocking. We will always be limited by the quality of say the bottom 6 in our team and the injuries/conditioning that we are carrying into the game. But any week now I am expecting us to turn around our effort. We beat Richmond and Sydney on these qualities. We didnt have the players on those games either, but we put in the required effort, things went our way and we won. Its hard for me to say with a straight face, but I honestly think the same players that played in the last few weeks could put in an effort that would beat you this week. They are capable of it. Haven't seen it for so long its hard to see us turn it around so quickly, but I can't help believe that its there. Hopefully your injuries are just what we need to kick start us back into a bit of form.

I think in fairness you wont see the best of Adelaide this weekend or for any part of the remainder of the year for that matter. Players coming back having just missed a game or two, in some cases months. It will take time for them to get back into the groove and the team to gel together.

Our 2018 season was derailed a long time go to be honest. Probably since the 2017 GF.

Would this be our strongest lineup for the year so far?

I reckon so!

Wow, now we can push to just miss the 8 and achieve our goal of perfect resonance with the worst of both worlds, by missing finals and lowering our draft picks!

Continuity is what the crows need.
