Wow what position is Tobie T playing at VFL level he's up to 20 ****ing disposals.....

Honestly we may need to pull the trigger on him at pick 3. He is simply dominating every level he plays. We need to view him as Hayden young/Sheezel/Daicos type that will transition to midfield.

At this point he's the least risky pick behind sid draper. He will be taken very early.

If tobie shows out of the world combine results then lock him in pick 3

Has Smilie played any games since the champs?

Haven't heard much since then
Yeah he played Round 14 against the Chargers and had 26 disposals and kicked a goal, Round 15 against the Power and had the same and then Round 17 against the Jets where he was quieter and only had the 10 disposals (don't know if he was injured last round).

Clarko did say this week they are still building their midfield and spine. Trainor is slipping in a lot of the rankings atm. Fair chance they go FOS if he is there at 2 and get some tall timber in the 20s as that’s where a lot of its is projected to go.

Will no doubt get torn a new arseh*le for this view but if we were confident on Hewetts foot and could get peatling in with our second im perfectly happy with travaglia and Lindsay with our two firsts if a trade back a few spots could get us some currency for knobel, even better. Would be very good players coming (back) into our team. Travaglia hasn’t put a foot wrong all campaign and been incredibly consistent. We’ll still be down next year and can take the elite centre square mid then.

Reckon the choice probably comes down to Draper, O’Sullivan, Lalor at 3 any of which I’m fine with too, would just love travaglia to make it to the Barrass pick which has zero chance. Preference probably Draper, FOS, lalor but with a couple good games could see lalor overtaking FOS.

Try a bring another second/third in for Barrat, Mraz, O’Farrel, Gerry.

Next year take centre square mid with our first and trade our second or future second for McVee.

At least a 50 / 50 chance TT makes it to pick 11.

Most have him around 10 to 12.

Question is, suppose no downgrade trade works out and we remain with pick 3, and suppose Draper is gone. Who would you hope we take?
I don't mind either FOS or Jagga . At 3 we jet one of the top 3 with draiper being the other imo.

Everyone keeps harping on about jagga being slight of frame but he keeps performing first the U18s against his peers then VFL . It hasn't slowed him down at all . He will get bigger with a few years in the gym

He is an absolute ball pig , great hands in tight and a neat kick .

Both draiper and jagga will help Harley play his natural game .

FOS is classy but will be more outside polish

Another watch for pick 3 is tobie. Is it possible he is Hayden young? If he has the scope of Hayden young then pull that trigger. He seems to be showing a fair bit against men/vfl

I agree he is somebody to watch for at pick 3. He doesn't have runs on the board is the issue. He's a risk boom or bust type player.

We need an insurance pick if we get him.

The only issue is if he stands up at ctl level it's not really a big stamp. Ctl is against kids so it's good but not very good stamp.

In no way should we draft smillie ahead of Lalor. Smillie is drafted because of high ceiling whom Lalor has an even higher ceiling.

Watching Smillie play against boys you wonder how that will translate to AFL.

Looks great palming off smaller opponents and gets an easy clearance that wont happen against bigger more experienced opposition.

How’s Lalor been?
Big 2nd quarter, had two beautiful kicks inside 50s. One from defensive half of centre square that went 45 to 50m and hit the fwd lace out. Another burst through centre clearance, took on two tacklers got free and gave it off.
He's also got an amazing leap for his size, he came off the bench launched into a pack and took it from 3 deep. Then drilled someone inside 50. He's gone up in my estimations.

Jagga Smith too, wow, Was every where. Something that never gets spoken about with him is his work rate. Literally runs all day, no wonder he accumulates huge numbers. Clearance specialist, just moves so well in tight, also runs super hard to provide link up or one two's to break out of a tight spot. Missed one kick by popping over the top, otherwise was very good by foot.

Rhys Unwin was very impressive every time he went near it.

Hanneford had 5 by half time, some cracking goals too.
